Mrs T (September 2021): 1 STAR "1 star for location only - poor quality accommodation. Unclean on arrival . Whilst accepting that the accommodation is very basic that is not an excuse for poor quality. There is a hazard in the kitchen in the carpet is poorly worn.. The fire extinguisher had not been serviced fir a number of years. There was no internet and whilst there were instructions they were written on an old scrappy piece of paper. The first aid kit was unusable which has clearly not be checked or items replenished." We have passed on the Feedback to the Property Owner for her attention. The Property Owner had contacted us on the day after their arrival to say that the Guests had complained about some issues. She explained that she was going through a close bereavement and was having trouble handling things at that time. She had re-booted the router and re-sent the password. She said she normally e-mails her Guests with the information, about bringing the top pillow themselves, key arrangements and directions. She wonders if she might have forgotten in this instance. Yes, the accommodation can be described as Basic - hence the 2+ STS Grade (Visit Wales have yet to inspect the property). The Property Owner replied to say "Thank you for your help. I am so sorry if it was our fault. But in the two years the cleaning company have been with us, I have not received any complaints that it was dirty." The internet connection issue was resolved by 6.30 pm on the day of their arrival. We think this review should be read in conjunction with the reviews below.
Mrs L (August 2021): "A lovely little place had everything we needed. Fantastic views and lovely walks. Just could do with two pillows each we had to buy two more as the ones provided were very flat." Comments passed on to Property Owner. Please can issues such as these be brought to our or the Property Owner's attention ASAP - as we are sure that she would have happily provided new pillows if asked.
Mrs R June 2021): "Beautiful location, but facilities rather basic - for example the bed had only one thin pillow per person." Thanks for the comments. They have been passed on to the Property Owner for her consideration
Mrs B (October, 2019):"Fantastic little cottage. Amazing views. Quiet hide away.Lovely and clean. Will definately return."
Mr O (June, 2019): "Quiet location, with views to die for. Handy for snowdonia and lleyn peninsula."
