A romantic retreat for 2 or a family 'get away' in this idyllic 18th century converted coach house near the sea and the magnificent Menai straits. Situated on its own in an orchard just half a mile stroll from the Caernarfon castle and harbour. The cosy lounge has a wood burning stove and is warmly decorated with exposed beams and tree trunk features underneath a 'crog loft' which serves as an additional sitting area. The master bedroom and shower room are both on the ground floor. Caernarfon foreshore on the Menai Strait is a few minutes walk and the magnificent World Heritage Caernarfon castle and walled town of Caernarfon is 15 minutes walk. Caernarfon golf club is also nearby, a scenic links course with lovely home made food in their restaurant. The restaurants, Inns and shops are tucked away in the narrow streets and the Welsh Highland steam train station is just by the harbour. Award winning sandy beach at Dinas Dinlle 7 miles, Anglesey 10 miles, Snowdon 10 miles.

3 BEDROOMS: 1 Double on ground floor level with an antique bed, 1 Twin bedroom with access through to 1 Double bedroom with one single bed also in the same room. Bed linen provided, please bring your own towels and tea towels.
SHOWER ROOM/WC: on ground floor large shower cubicle with electric shower.
KITCHEN: Fitted with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher.
LOUNGE/DINER: Spacious room open to the roof with a snug lounge area under the crog loft. Cottage now has solid oak flooring in main living room. Lounge area has a wood burning stove, flatscreen TV and DVD. Dining area has a large refectory table.
CROG LOFT: Additional space for reading or playing games. Access is via an open tread stairs not suitable for toddlers or the infirm.
ELECTRICITY & HEATING: Electricity, central heating and logs included. PLEASE NOTE that electricity is included only for the facilities provided at the property. Charging of Electric Vehicles is PROHIBITED due to electrocution and fire safety reasons.
WIFI: This is a 'digital detox' property. There is currently no wifi connection. Please check your mobile service network coverage if it's a concern.
PARKING: Ample parking to the front.
GARDEN: Open plan garden with lawns and fruit trees.

Mini-break rules at this cottage: A mini-break is a holiday for less than a week and/or may start on a day which isn't the normal changeover day (Friday). This property owner will only accept mini-breaks at short notice - not more than 31 days before the starting date of the holiday.

We had a wonderful stay at the Apple Tree and the location is fantastic - within a 2 minute walk of the water, a short walk to Caernarfon and easy driving distance to the wonders of Anglesey and Snowdonia. The place is quiet and comfortable - the only annoyance is that the lack of towels truly means no towels at all (e.g. no towels to dry dishes with) which made it a little harder to keep the place clean. But overall, a great place!" When we say that there are no towels at a property, this also means no tea towels as well.

NE (August 2022): 3 STARS "Very Basic. Unfortunately the fridge and freezer were not working. Even when the owner corrected it somewhat, it was mildly cold and took ages to freeze the items. A second fridge I was offered was also not working, though the freezer this time did work. However much of the food we brought with went of and we only survived due to an electric freezer box we had brought with. We found spider webs all over and the counters were dirty etc. Generally not much light in the living area. The outside grounds are really well kept and a gorgeous place to spend time in the nice warm weather"
