A recent conversion of The Victoria Hotel on Marine Parade, it is fully insulated for energy and sound to the highest standards and has lift access. Just 60m to the beautiful sandy beach and sand dunes and a short stroll to the shops and restaurants in the town. 250m from the railway station on the Cambrian Coast line. The property is mostly on 1 level and offers 2 en-suite bedrooms and a large living room with a fully functional kitchen. The second bedroom is six steps lower than the rest of the flat. Barmouth has many returning guests that enjoy the stunning Snowdonia Mountain scenery around the Mawddach estuary. A variety of eating places locally from fine dining to award-winning fish and chips on the promenade. An eclectic collection of shops to investigate within the old historic town. Excellent cycle routes and footpaths. Our favourite is the Mawddach trail crossing over the iconic Barmouth rail bridge to the George III for a spot of liquid lunch or a drive to Cregennan Lakes and Cader Idris. Visit Harlech castle, Porthmadog steam trains and Portmeirion Italianate village all within 20 miles, or historic Dolgellau town and Torrent Falls only 10 miles away. Excellent accommodation in a fantastic location with beautiful views.

2 BEDROOMS: 1 Kingsize with a Jack & Jill en-suite SHOWER ROOM/WC and 1 Twin (or Superking zip-and-link by prior arrangement) with an en-suite BATHROOM/WC with shower over the bath. Bed linen provided.
LIVING ROOM: L shaped room with two large windows. Dining table and chairs by one window and two wicker relaxing chairs in the bay window.
KITCHEN area with dishwasher, fridge / freezer, microwave, double oven & ceramic hob, washer / dryer.
LIVING AREA: Comfortable seating area plus lovely bay window, flatscreen Smart TV / DVD.
PARKING: Street parking outside the house. During the "peak season", from beginning of May to end of October, a council pass is available for 1 car - outside of this period there is plenty of street parking available.

The beds were excellent as was the bedding (so comfy). The Lift into the apartment was wonderful. The week we stayed was very hot and a electric fan would have been nice. We spent many happy times just sitting in the large Bay window looking across out to sea and "Sunsets" to die for." Thanks for the Feedback - which are always passed on to the Property Owner.

Accessible, easy parking, bright, immaculately clean, welcoming, modern interior, very well equipped, thoughtfully laid out. We left out the cherry on the top…. the view, mesmerising! Makes a holiday at any time of the year. Provided a multitude of combinations: sea, mountains, southerly sunshine, clouds, rain, wind, nighttime flickering lights, all beautifully captured through the lounge window! What is not to love!"
JS (September 2022): 4.8 STARS "Great Flat, Lovely Views. Walked into Sandcastles and said ‘wow’. Reached by lift, the open plan living dining kitchen was spacious with lovely sea views. The kitchen had a large fridge freezer and was very well equipped. Stayed with friends so 2 en-suite bedrooms was ideal. The bedrooms had adequate storage. There was a hall area for shoes and coats as you got out of the lift. Great for our muddy boots as we were staying for Barmouth Walking Festival. The location is great. Across the road from the promenade and Sandy beach, and only a short walk into the centre. Overall we loved Sandcastles and will definitely be returning"

"One of a pair of refurbished flats in a prime sea front position. each accessed by a security code via the lift with direct access into the letting unit there is also telephone door entry. Direct entry on the second floor to the spacious lounge kitchen diner, cleanly presented with plain painted decor, modern units and appliances and a restful ambience. Two bedroom, with en-suite ( one jack and jill). In all a most attractive contemporary styled unit."

Street parking outside the house. During the "peak season", from beginning of May to end of October, a council pass is available for 1 car - outside of this period there is plenty of street parking available. Access along concrete footpath to ramp to the front door. There is a lift to the apartment. Living room and bedroom with Jack and Jill shower room on this level. 6 steps down to the second bedroom with super king or twin beds and ensuite bathroom. Emergency exit to the rear via spiral staircase. No disabled aid for emergency exit.
