Fire Place is amazing and was built ready to light. Kitchen is well stocked and bathrooms are amazing with really good hot water. Roger was on hand at any point to provide assistance and is very helpful owner. My 1 year old daughter decided to ring him at midnight and tell him how amazing the cottage was haha and he was absolutely fine with it after apologising. Highly recommend and will also return. SE (July 2023): 4.3 STARS "What a beautiful place to stay. What do I have to say about this place. I am so happy for the time I’ve spent here with my friends. All amenities are close by pubs co-op cafes and restaurants in the town centre. There is zip world near by lots to go out and see if you like old mine and that sort of thing. I would recommend staying here for good week or a long weekend plus there’s plenty to do around the house like games room darts pool and weight machine hot tub or just sit by the fire [Emoji Removed]"
AS (July 2023): "Highly recommended accommodation with great location, great garden and hot tub, supermarket and city within walking distance, but still no city noise. Over 200 years old main house (somewhat dark) but with lots of charm and enormously good facilities. The owner of the cottage was a great help to us."
GT (July 2023): "Excellent house to base yourself to explore Snowdownia. We stayed at Stars and Clouds for a week as a family of four, 2 adults, 2 teenagers. The house was a base for us to do activities each day and come home to plenty space and comfort. There are so many things to do in the locality, and this house is ideally placed for so many activities. For example we did : White Water Rafting and Canyoning (Bala), Wakeboarding and Water Park (Glasfryn Parc), Underground Caverning and Bounce Below (Blaenau Festiniog), Snowdown (Train from Llanberis), Tobogganing (Llandudno). And each day we came home to a fantastic relax in the Hot Tub, played to Pool in the games room, and cooked up dinner as required. Blaenau Festiniog in also a very short walk down a steep hill with lots of shops and bars. Fully recommend Stars and Clouds which is a very high standard, extremely comfortable and leaves you wanting for nothing"
BB (May 2023): 4.7 STARS "Great long weekend retreat. Mountain views from the house and garden are spectacular. The fireplace is a delight. The master room is spacious with a comfy bed and great shower en-suite. Low door heights - if over 5’2” be careful not to bang your head entering and exiting the kitchen. The house is homely, rustic and cosy. The garden was delightful for us adults (hot tub amazing with breathtaking views) but families with young children should be cautious in the garden due to changing height levels. Zip World, beach, waterfall and steam train ride all worth a visit. We had a fab time and would definitely recommend"

A Family (October 2022): "We were SO lucky to find this beautiful cottage for half-term week. 5 of us and our dogs loved our stay here, exploring the area and creating amazing experiences. The facilities available at the cottage were ideal for our needs - Ev charger, hot tub, big garden, games room, good Wi-fi, great kitchen. It was great to come back after a busy or tiring day and jump in the hot tub or sit and watch the sunset down the valley."
NM (August 2022): 5 "Cottage with stunning views & hot tub. The location of this well equipped cottage is brilliant. Several walks from the door plus Zip Works walkable too. Amazing garden although it is on an incline so decent mobility needed. The hot tub has stunning views and was most welcome after some long hikes. Comfy beds. Well equipped kitchen, garden, games room and utility shed. You'll need to duck under doorways if you are of average height or more but it is a cottage after all! Footpath past the house to town cuts out the need to use the car so much and cuts off time from GOOGLE maps. The owner called a couple of days before we arrived to give some useful information and again was keen to check everything was ok once we'd arrived. He's always looking to improve things and has covered pretty much all bases of a family's needs on holiday. Thank you. A superb holiday helped by our stay in this fantastic cottage."

Mr C (August 2021): "Would have liked to give a better rating but the poor quality of the mattresses meant none of us had a decent nights sleep during the week we were there. Could do with a more cleaning in some areas and new towels and bedding. On the plus side the hot tub and games room were great with fantastic views." Please could you report problems such as these to ourselves or the Property Owner as soon as you are able. Often, problems can be sorted out very quickly. Miss M (July 2021): "Super cottage that worked really well for us as a couple, we can see how it would work for higher occupancy too, but loved having a toilet/bathroom each and the general extra space.
Both the games room and hot tub were used every day and thoroughly enjoyed! The view from the hot tub are fantastic, it's simply out of this world relaxing in there whilst watching the skyline across the mountains change.
Having the washing machine to spin off excess water and tumble drier to start the drying process were also really helpful extras as we got soaked to the bone every day and it would otherwise have been a nightmare trying to get the clothes dry. We generally like to try somewhere new each time we go away but with this cottage we could well be tempted to break that habit and return."
Mrs O (May 2021): House was very comfortable with all amenities needed. The games room was great and was a good space to use. Hot tub was a treat with lovely views. Area was beautiful and a short walk to the village a bonus. the Co-op there had all we needed. Everyone we met was very pleasant and helpful too. The owner was very helpful and reacted quickly to problems or queries. only suggestions would be to have more details on how to use the log burners (although Peter did explain this when asked), a note to remind you to mind your head when going from the kitchen to the dining room! Shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. Heating was flexible and very warm when needed. Parking was closer to house than it sounded, another brownie point!

Comments: "Stars and Clouds offers guests comfortable accommodation with wonderful extended views to the town and West through the initial approach past neighbouring properties does not inspire. The terraced grounds have summer house, games/gym room and covered hot tub. The house has been represented and has a comfortable lounge with separate dining room leading to the kitchen a spacious master bedroom is en suite whilst the other bedrooms are more compact."
