PARKING: Street parking outside the house. During the "peak season", from beginning of May to end of October, a council pass is available for 1 car - outside of this period there is plenty of street parking available.

There were a few cleanliness issues - dead flys behind the splash backs, extractor over hob needs cleaning, some crockery and oven trays had to be washed before we could use them even though there’s a dishwasher. Found a large brown stain on the duvet when stripping the bed on leaving. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Overall we had a great holiday and will definitely be returning next year. Thanks very much."

It is a short walk from the shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, and is an ideal base to visit the local area. The only criticism is the standard of cleanliness; it appears as though the property is given a quick clean between guests. As a consequence, some areas are dirty and need a thorough cleaning." The location is perfect for everything Barmouth has to offer and being over a road from the sand dunes and the beach was great for walking our little dog . Only one gripe but I feel it needs to be mentioned … please put some wire mesh around the rear fire door rails . Providing the rear rails are made safe I would definitely return and recommend to friends and family . BH (June 2023): 4.7 STARS "The apartment and position was beautiful, and no trouble with parking thanks to the ticket provided. The inside of the flat was light, airy and clean, being of vintage years and not like fine wines improving with age we found the sofa's a little too low. The beds were excellent as was the bedding (so comfy). The Lift into the apartment was wonderful. The week we stayed was very hot and a electric fan would have been nice. We spent many happy times just sitting in the large Bay window looking across out to sea and "Sunsets" to die for." Thanks for the Feedback - which are always passed on to the Property Owner.

GH (March 2023): 4.5 STARS "Lovely restful break. We had a lovely break, perfectly situated on the front at Barmouth, sandcastles is a lovely apartment. This was our second visit. And we will be back again.
Thing that could be better. The sofas are a little low and the chairs in the bay windows where you want to spend most of your time are uncomfortable. Pong chairs possibly a better option. Accessible, easy parking, bright, immaculately clean, welcoming, modern interior, very well equipped, thoughtfully laid out. We left out the cherry on the top…. the view, mesmerising! Makes a holiday at any time of the year. Provided a multitude of combinations: sea, mountains, southerly sunshine, clouds, rain, wind, nighttime flickering lights, all beautifully captured through the lounge window! What is not to love!"
JS (September 2022): 4.8 STARS "Great Flat, Lovely Views. Walked into Sandcastles and said ‘wow’. Reached by lift, the open plan living dining kitchen was spacious with lovely sea views. The kitchen had a large fridge freezer and was very well equipped. Stayed with friends so 2 en-suite bedrooms was ideal. The bedrooms had adequate storage. There was a hall area for shoes and coats as you got out of the lift. Great for our muddy boots as we were staying for Barmouth Walking Festival. The location is great. Across the road from the promenade and Sandy beach, and only a short walk into the centre. Overall we loved Sandcastles and will definitely be returning"

"One of a pair of refurbished flats in a prime sea front position. each accessed by a security code via the lift with direct access into the letting unit there is also telephone door entry. Direct entry on the second floor to the spacious lounge kitchen diner, cleanly presented with plain painted decor, modern units and appliances and a restful ambience. Two bedroom, with en-suite ( one jack and jill). In all a most attractive contemporary styled unit."
