Guests Reviews:
RF (October 2024): 3.5 STARS "Disappointing. Had electrical problems twice, lack of cooking utensils, one baking tray decustin state, worldrob smell of damp and musky, toilet lid doesn't fit bowl, wallpaper peeling in hall. No catch on door lock you had to make shaw you had the keys to go out, you had to be careful when going out of the patio door in the morning because people above let their dog wee on the bowcany, nearly got wet once going out. Had many flats in this area over the years this I'm sorry to say is the worst. Sts office very good and helpful regarding problems" Thanks for the Review - which are always passed on to Property Owners for their attention. Please report issues as soon as you can. Many can be put right very quickly.
CL (September 2024): "Perfect little holiday flat right in the middle of Porthmadog. Ideal for what I needed over my short weekend stay at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be booking again."
MG (September 2024): 4.5 STARS "The apartment was great in a good position not far from the shops and even closer to the sea. The only thing that was missing was there needs to be an extraction fan inn the kitchen when doing cooking as it fills up the lounge with smoke and sets off the fire alarm the only way to disperse it was to open the slider but if it’s cold and windy you know about it.On the hole of it I would come back again" Thanks for the Review, which are always passed on to Property Owners.
SR (August 2024): 5 STARS "This was the second time we have stayed in Porthmadog at the same appointment. We find it a great location. Apartment has everything you need. A lovely few days away"
AM (July 2024): 5 STARS "The place itself was great, right near the station so my Daughter and I used the local eating establishments. She had the single bed but the mattress was very thin and after 2 days complained of an aching back unfortunately. (Why do people and businesses cut corners and buy cheap mattresses?) I was in a double bed on my own, it was very soft and I slept ok, but if my partner had been sleeping next to me I think the bed would have dipped in the middle! Apartment was clean and tidy little bit of wallpaper coming away but was lovely. My Daughter left her favourite pillow behind so got in touch to see if they would post it to us at our expense obviously, it took a few days of communication to verify the pillow had been found by them and they would send it, however that was over a week ago and nothing sent and no longer answering messages, they have let themselves down in my opinion, it’s the small things that people do for you that you remember and act upon!" Thank you for your review, appreciate the delay for return of pillow this was due to the busy time of year - this has been returned.
NP (July 2024): 4.7 STARS "Exceptionally clean : newly refurbished Good position near to local amenities. Very quiet location mind you Porthmadog was quite quiet. Ate at Spooners on Ffestiniog railway station most evenings"
LW (April 2024): 4.2 STARS "This was a second visit to this property as we loved it the first time round. When we arrived the patio door was unlocked. The apartment was spotless clean and thank you for the welcome biscuits. I have three observations which I did advise but never received a response. 1 we could not keep the heating on in the bedroom at night because the heater made a continual banging noise as if there was air in the system. 2 black out blinds are needed due to external lighting and the morning sun woke us extremely early. 3 we always leave accommodation clean and tidy as we found it. What I found unusual was a written bedside note asking us to strip our bed before leaving and to ensure we took the bins out which we always do. I thought this was factored in the price as I have never been asked to do this before in all the self catering accommodation I have stayed in in over 30 years. This is not a complaint just an observation. 4 I asked on my last visit if I could enter the apartment early due to my disability and need to take my medication. I was told on that occasion if the cleaner was finished. We arrived 1.30/2 pm. This time I was initially told if I wanted to check in early (same tome) then really I should have booked the previous day. When I checked this further I was told it wasn’t a problem as long as the cleaner had finished. 5 Any query I had I had to chase for a response as I never even received an acknowledgment. These are not complaints merely observations. I did email them but I never got a response." Thanks for the Review, which are always passed on to the Property Owner. We did reply, "Hi, Thanks for letting us know, we'll pass this information on the owners."
AS (Jan 2024): "Very calm and nice neighbourhood by the harbour. Definitely coming back for a longer stay"
RS (Oct 2023) 4.3 STARS: "OK, so this flat doesn't exactly overlook either the harbour or the sea, but it suited our needs nicely. Although there were only two of us using it, it would be fine if you have one or two small children with you. It's a very easy walk into town, and the Ffestiniog Railway station with its excellent Spooner's Bar is even nearer. The car space right in front of the flat made unloading and loading as easy as any where we've stayed. Would definitely try to book this place again."
JH (Oct 2023): "Holiday bliss. Wonderful accommodation, but, bring your own hanging shower caddy. We found Lidle’s centre isle invaluable for home comforts that we had forgotten. Position of flat suited us because we spent a lot of time at the railway which we could walk to"
SR (Sep 2023): "It was our first time to Porthmadog. The apartment was situated in a stunning position by the harbour. With all amenities close by. Very dog friendly eating places. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely return for another holiday"
GC (Aug 2023): 4.8 STARS "Great Location & Restful. We loved the location, great for the Ffestiniog and the town. Lovely to be able to see the harbour the island and the wild birds"
NO (Aug 2023): "Had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely return. Couple of very small things that would have made a difference: Hooks on rear of bathroom door. Provision of bottle and tin opener and bread knife. Thank you."
CB (July 2023): 4 STARS "We stayed as a family of four in this small but very well located apartment. We enjoyed it very much and would be happy to recommend it."
AW (July 2023): 4 STARS: "Lovely place to stay, and perfectly located for the steam train!"

ACCESS STATEMENT
This is a ground floor apartment with the front door situated approx. 10 yards away from the allocated car parking space. Whilst the accommodation is all level throughout there are two small steps at the front door (and also at the patio door) and this coupled with restricted width would not prove suitable for wheelchair users.
Doors to the double bedroom, kitchen/lounge, and the shower room open off a hallway, right inside the front door. Access to the twin bedroom is from the lounge/kitchen.
The bedroom has bedside lights in addition to the main ceiling light and power points at skirting board level. The wet room has wash basin, WC and an electric shower with a safety hand rail.
The sitting room has additional lighting, TV and DVD with remote controls. In the galley kitchen points are at working top level.

The Apartment was newly refurbished and furnished and was very clean and comfortable. I think the description needs to make it clearer that the harbour can only be viewed when sitting outside on the patio. When sitting inside the view is of a line of parked cars. There needs to be more kitchen utensils - there were no scissors, corkscrew, bottle opener or bread knife and very few bowls for preparing and cooking meals.
