CR (June 2023): 4.8 STARS "A week with STS holidays at Porthmadoc. The weather was excellent throughout our week. We spent a lot of time at Black Rock Sands. Being able to take the car onto the beach was really useful. On past visits to the area we have travelled the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways so this time we concentrated our efforts on Black Rock Sands. We had an excellent week"

This ground floor apartment is a purpose built holiday property within a private complex. Approach is from a main road into tarmac parking spcaes throughout the estate.
The designated parking is suitable for one vehicle and is in a well-lit area just a few yards from the property. Access to the apartment is up one front door step. The apartment has a standard size pvc door leading into a compact hall area. From this area there are doors to the shower room, bedroom and the open plan living area with galley kitchen. From the living area there is a sliding patio door to the patio area which is down one step.
There is good lighting throughout the property with both a ceiling light and a lamp in the living area, spot lights in the kitchen area and spotlights and matching bedside lamps in the bedroom.
The shower room has a corner shower cubicle and electric shower, hand basin and WC. Again there is good light with a ceiling light.
The flat is quite compact and not suitable for wheelchairs or cots.
Had a wonderful holiday in a vert accessible, picturesque area.Plennty of amenities locally with lots to do.
One small recommendation for improvement in the property would be the outside area. A small outside table and chairs would be great and the shrubs need pruning down to fully appreciate the fantastic view over the harbour. Overall very satisfied with the property and would definitely recommend to others.

Flat was in a perfect location - everything we needed was supplied and clean. Lovely view of harbour and mountains beyond. Near to shops and restaurant and steam railway which was a lovely trip.
