This delightful harbourside apartment is just across the way from the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway station where the occasional steam train can be heard in the distance as it slowly leaves on its journey into Snowdonia. The accommodation is extremely comfortably prepared with spacious rooms all on the ground floor and within a few minutes walk of Porthmadog High Street with its many shops and restaurants, leisure centre and museums. You could forget using the car here if it wasn't for the tempting abundant scenic beauty which surrounds Porthmadog. The dramatic splendour of Snowdonia to the south and east, and the gentler countryside and sandy beaches to the west along the Llyn Peninsula. Beddgelert village at the foot of Snowdon is just 7 ml. Criccieth beaches, dominated by its Welsh castle is 5ml. Portmeirion 'Italianate styled village' is a healthy 3 mile walk (or 10 mins by car). Black Rock Sands 2ml where driving onto the beach is permitted. Just around the corner is the little Ffestiniog Steam train station when you can enjoy a nice pint and view of the steam trains. This is a good central location for a holiday property in North Wales.

BEDROOM 1: This bedroom has a double bed with patio doors which has harbour views across the patio area. (Fire exit via the patio door.)
BEDROOM 2: This bedroom has 2 single beds. (Fire exit route via front door if fire in kitchen/diner/lounge, or via patio doors in lounge or Bedroom 1 if fire in entrance porch / utility room. Note that due to the layout of the apartment, in the event of a fire in the kitchen/diner/lounge, then the occupants of the bedrooms may have to make their escape independently of each other.

SHOWER ROOM: Large walk in shower cubicle with an electric shower, shower stool and 2 grab rails in the shower. There is a hand wash basin, toilet and a heated towel rail.

LIVING ROOM: This big room has patio doors looking towards the patio and the harbour, this room is split into 3 sections:
KITCHEN AREA: Electric cooker, small fridge, microwave and dishwasher.
DINING AREA: There is a dining table with 2 dining chairs.
LOUNGE AREA: A new 43" HD Smart TV (NEW for Dec 22) with a DVD player is provided in the Living Room along with a 2-seater sofa and two arm chairs. The TV has an Internet connection allowing guests to access BBC iPlayer and their own personal online streaming accounts.


PORCH: Table top freezer, small fridge and washer/dryer machine.

PATIO AREA: Communal patio area with harbour views which is shared with other residents of the building, due to this area is shared by the whole building guests can not smoke on the shared patio area (guests are also not allowed to smoke inside the apartment). The outdoor chairs for your use are stored in the Twin Bedroom. At the moment there is an outside light which is on at night in the patio area, this is for security reasons. This apartment has a 3 layered curtains in the Double bedroom to block out these lights.

PARKING: There is a car park space for 1 car - no EV charging point here, guests can not use the electric from the apartment to charge up their electric cars. The closest EV charging point is at Porthmadog Tesco Car Park area.

Wi-Fi: Yes, unlimited with fast Internet speeds of 148 Mbps.

HEATING: Electric wall heaters.

ELECTRICITY: Included only for internal use. Charging of Electric Vehicles is Prohibited due to the risk of fire and electrocution, the closest EV charging point is at Porthmadog Tesco Car Park area.

PETS:
We allow dogs at this apartment for free! Please be aware that the outside patio area is shared and all dog fouling need to be picked up and put into the Green Wheel bins in the shared bin cupboard.

TOWELS: Yes, 1 bath towel per guest, 1 hand towel per guest, 1 bath mat and 1 tea towel.

IRON & IRONING BOARD: Yes.

Travel Cot: Yes, however, no bedding or bedlinen provided for the travel cot, guests would need to bing their own. Not enough room to set up the travel cot in the Double bedroom but there is enough room to set up the travel cot in the Twin Bedroom.

EXTRA: Guests are not allowed to smoke inside the apartment or outside on the shared communal patio area.

4.7 STARS "Another great stay! We have stayed here many times now, we really love the location just across from the station and so close to the high street and shops. We also really enjoy having the lovely harbour views from the apartment, with glimpses of the trains and access out onto the terrace. We will definitely return again. Would love to see the curtains repaired though for our next visit, they seem to be falling off more each time we come! Other than that the apartment has everything you need and is very well equipped for a holiday apartment." Thank you for your feedback, the curtains are heavy due to the extra black out curtains behind the main curtains which over time get pulled off the curtain rail. We have gone and replace the hooks with new stronger ones to help keep the curtains on the rail. We have also removed these extra blackout curtains from the Living Room curtains to make the curtains lighter so to stop this issue happening again. We have also planned that when our new sofa covers arrive we will be replacing the Living Room curtains to match the new sofa covers.

The apartment is geared up to be more accessible and its decor reflects an older taste but it is always clean, tidy and well presented. For us, its location and comfort are the overriding positives, hence being returning visitors. The downside (externally) is the speed at which cars leaving the wider housing development pass by the allocated parking space which, coupled with the large bush immediately adjacent to the space, mean you must proceed with caution. It would seem some residents are completely unaware that other drivers exist. We resorted to having one of us stood in the road to act as traffic warden! We would absolutely book to stay again as we know we'll have all we need, in a location that offers us what we're looking for in a short break." Thanks for the Feedback. The location is fantastic, just a few steps from the station, various pubs and the main high street. The views of the harbour from the main bedroom and lounge are great. The apartment feels very cosy with carpet in the lounge and bedrooms, the rooms are more spacious than they appear on the photos. It's very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a week away. The tea/coffee/milk is a really nice touch especially when you arrive late and haven't had a chance to go shopping. I guess the upstairs neighbours might bother you if they are particularly noisy, we could hear people moving around but it didn't bother us at all. So good to have the spacious porch area so you can leave coats/shoes out of the main accommodation, especially if it's been raining! We will definitely be staying again"

With wonderful views over the harbour the accommodation offers immediate access onto a sun filled terrace whilst shade is provided by the overhand of the apartment above. We took the opportunities to eat out locally down the main street for the short time we were at the apartment so didn't really test ourselves with the challenge of the compact kitchen. The places we chose to eat did not disappoint. The apartment was ideal for our particular circumstances although I do think it was expensive when considering the fact that we only had two full days in it." Note that the longer you stay ten the lower the cost per night.

Many hours spent in the rocking chair watching the boats through the patio doors. My only negatives were the size of the single parking space which was tight for my estate car and the garden pots on the outdoor patio could have done with a refresh as they looked a little abandoned. Great customer service and communication from STS too. We hope to return"

A great shame that Spooners are not doing food at the moment owing to a lack of staff but hopefully that will change over time. "An attractive ground floor apartment overlooking the harbour. The open plan lounge / diner is well thought out, and the kitchen is well equipped. Overall a very comfortable and well maintained property."

This is a modern two bedroom ground floor flat in a prestigious harbour side development.

The well-lit parking area is on the same level leading to the front door. There is a 11" step up, through modern UPVC door, into the entrance hall area. From the entrance hall, there is a UPVC door with a 4" step into the inner hall area. (One guest mentioned difficulty using a wheelchair at the property).

Leading from the inner hall area all rooms are on one level, and are decorated throughout in pale colours with wood internal doors. Most power switches are to be found above the skirting board. Bedside lights are provided in both bedrooms along with central lights. There is additional lighting in the lounge area. The kitchen has electric sockets at worktop level. The lounge area has a colour TV with remote control, DVD player, Hi-fi and a video cassette player. There is no phone.

From the lounge and the bathroom which face the harbour, there is a step down (through UPVC patio sliding doors) to the level patio area.

No 82 is nicely located alongside Porthmadog harbour with excellent views as well as very convenient for the Ffestiniog railway station over the road. The property was warm and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. It would suit someone with limited mobility as there is plenty of room for wheelchair storage, handrails are provided at suitable locations and a walk in shower. The town centre is a very short walk away with a choice of shops and eating places even though we were 'out of season'.

This was our third time staying here. We absolutely love the location, the view over the harbour from the lounge and bedroom is so lovely. The moment you walk into No. 82 Glaslyn Bridge you feel at home. If the weather is beautiful there are a myriad of things to do, or just sit outside and watch the trains and boats. If the weather is not so good just to sit and watch the changing light and view is enjoyable and relaxing. The company STS are always there on hand with help in a courteous manner. The apartment, location and management and the lovely cleaning lady cannot be faulted. Can't wait to go again

This is a brilliant location overlooking the harbour also the Ffestiniog railway station is next door ! What more could you want !! The accommodation is extremely comfortable it is all on one level (except for small step at front entrance). The accommodation is suitable for all but from my view being disabled it is ideal. The shower room is adapted for disabled and there are rails around the property for extra support. There are two bedrooms which are very comfortable. Then we come to the lounge which faces the harbour so you can relax looking out what more could you want.

Glaslyn Harbour views was the ideal location for a short post Covid recovery break during a 'heat wave'.. With wonderful views over the harbour the accommodation offers immediate access onto a sun filled terrace whilst shade is provided by the overhand of the apartment above. We took the opportunities to eat out locally down the main street for the short time we were at the apartment so didn't really test ourselves with the challenge of the compact kitchen. The places we chose to eat did not disappoint. The apartment was ideal for our particular circumstances although I do think it was expensive when considering the fact that we only had two full days in it.

This was our 2nd visit to this flat and again we was not disappointed. Just across the the steam train, and close to the buses. The view was very good, the beds comfortable. Just a short walk into Porthmadoc. We will be back again later this year all being well.

Could not be a better location. Overlooking the harbour and village this let is the perfect location for exploring either on foot or by steam train. The flat has everything we needed and is very comfy. The local shops are a cocks stride away and local pubs and restaurants are also very close by. Will def stay again.

For goodness sake replace the shower with a proper one ! That actually gets you wet with hot water ! With out the option of a bath in the property the shower that is currently fitted is a joke!!!

This apartment was immaculate when we arrived. Right in the harbour, it was in the ideal location for amazing harbour views. Many hours spent in the rocking chair watching the boats through the patio doors. My only negatives were the size of the single parking space which was tight for my estate car and the garden pots on the outdoor patio could have done with a refresh as they looked a little abandoned. Great customer service and communication from STS too. We hope to return.

We can't praise this property enough extremely comfortable with a lovely outlook and very handy for the trains being just across the yard. A great shame that Spooners are not doing food at the moment owing to a lack of staff but hopefully that will change over time. This was our fifth visit to Portmadoc and this was certainly the best accommodation we have had. We also had great service from Snowdonia Tourist Services.
