AP (October 2023): 5 STARS "This is a very cosy mid-terrace property in Tanygrisiau. We stayed as a family with two teenage sons and they loved it. It is in an ideal location for strolling in to Blaenau Ffestiniog and riding the railway and Zip World. It's a short drive to Porthmadog and Port Merrion or you can take the steam train from the village station into Porthmadog and on to Caernarfon. The cottage sits in the shadow of the Moelwyn Hills and there is some fantastic trails and treks into the hills from the village. The walk up to the top of the Stwlan Dam, which forms part of the Ffestiniog Hydro Electric power station, is a must and the views from the top are awesome! All on a paved road, but it is long and pretty steep in places. All in all we couldn't fault the cottage or it's location and may return again"

The scenery everywhere we went was breathtaking, a world away from home! I would definitely consider staying at this property again, I have nothing but find memories of my holiday"

The location is stunning, there are plenty of walks that can be done right from the property. If you love exploring then the slate mines are amazing. I would highly recommend go below underground adventures if you like adrenaline pumping adventure. We were blessed with the weather. Long walks finished with the Trish and Chips take away (highly recommended). Amazing views, stunning weather, nice people around and comfy bed at night"

Steam train to Blaenau Ffestiniog and walk back; nice to do.Steam train to Porthmadog very pretty, can stop at Minffordd and walk 1 1/2 miles to Portmeirion. Conway castle and town worth a visit also Harlech and surrounding area. Local walk up the hill worth a look, waterfalls in full flow after rain."
