Nestled in the corner of the tree-lined 'Riverside' area of Glan Gwna Country Park, this chalet will be a great base for a family wanting to explore Snowdonia, the North Wales coast and Anglesey. 'Glan Gwna' is a select holiday retreat in the wooded grounds of a country house with an outdoor swimming pool and restaurant for guests (open in the summer only). The new Welsh Highland steam train station by Caernarfon castle is only a short 2 mile drive, Llanberis and the other little train up Snowdon is only 6 miles away and the award winning sandy beach at Dinas Dinlle is 8ml. This is a very central situation which is ideal for all. Caernarfon has interesting restaurants within the town walls, hidden taverns in the narrow streets, a harbour with boat trips to see the isle of Anglesey.

3 BEDROOMS: 1 Double, 1 Twin bedroom, 1 Twin bedroom with 2' 6" beds. Bed linen provided, please bring your own towels and tea towels.
LOUNGE/DINER/KITCHEN: Comfy seating for 5, flatscreen TV, electric heater and dining table.
KITCHEN: NEW for 2020 Fitted kitchen units including electric cooker, fridge with icebox, microwave.
SHOWER ROOM/WC: Compact room with Hand Wash Basin, toilet and electric shower.
HEATING: Electric heaters in Living room and bedrooms.
ELECTRICITY: Not included - Guests need to pay extra for electric at this chalet. How this works is that Guests need to put money onto a card meter at Glan Gwna reception. Charging of electric vehicles is PROHIBITED for fire and electrocution safety reasons.
GARDEN: Small patio area with bench and patio furniture.
PARKING: Ample parking.

Mini-break rules: A mini-break is a holiday for less than a week and/or may start on a day which isn't the normal changeover day.
In season (April to end of October), this property will accept mini-breaks 31 days before the start date of the holiday.
Out of season (November to end of March), this property will accept mini-breaks at anytime before the start date of the holiday.

BH (August 2023): 3.3 STARS "When we arrived we were struck with how lovely it looked however on inspection there was obvious signs of poor cleanliness dust behind the table in the kitchen and behind the draws in the lounge area bathroom showed signs of neglect as did the garden area at the front. Having said that kitchen lovely the site was beautiful the beds were very comfortable we just felt it had an air of neglect which is a shame as Glan Gwna is such a beautiful place" Thanks for the Review - which are always passed on to the Property Owner for their attention.

KT (August 2023): 5 STARS "Ideal place to stay to tour North Wales. Lovely chalet in ideal place to explore North Wales. Very quiet area on the Glan Gwna site. Swimming pool on site. Plenty to see and do within an hours travelling. The chalet was clean and well presented with everything that was needed. Would definitely stay again if visiting North Wales. AN (July 2023): 3.8 STARS "Four nights with grandchildren. Butterfly Chalet is in a lovely park with good facilities and very helpful and friendly staff across the Glan Gwna site. The park is a good location for exploring the area, and although we had a couple of rainy days we did make the most of getting out and about. The outside (heated) park pool seemed to be in use no matter what the weather, and our grandchildren made friends with other children and we were very comfortable in letting them play in the playground or club house without the need for close supervision as we felt the environment was very safe. Butterfly Chalet itself, was surface clean with clean bedding etc. However, we did feel that a deep clean would be in order as there was dust and discarded items underneath furniture, and we felt it necessary to wash the utensils prior to use. Cupboards and drawers would also benefit from a good clean. Unfortunately, the "free" WiFi as advertised was no longer available in the chalet and this needs to be updated - (there is free WiFi in the vicinity of the clubhouse). Overall an enjoyable short break with family and we would happily return to the Glan Gwna park, but would consider staying in newer accommodation" Thanks for the Review - which are always passed on to the Property Owner. AK (August 2022): 4.8 STARS "Lovely chalet. We stayed at Butterfly Chalet on a site we know well as the chalet we have stayed in over previous years was not available. The chalet was very clean and well looked after, plenty of space for us all and situated on a lovely site. It was very quiet and relaxing, especially at night, and the site is very close to a number of fab places that kept the kids entertained. We will definitely stay at Butterfly chalet again​"
PM (August 2022): 2.8 STARS "Glan gwna is a lovely place. The chalet was not clean when we arrived, the floor was dirty, food particles on utensils in the drawer, cups were stained inside and the cupboards were dirty. I had to go to reception to sort it out not happy about that" Thanks for the Feedback - the Property Owner has responded as follows: "Thank you for your comments. We are sorry that you felt so dissatisfied. We always do our utmost to maintain a high standard and unfortunately partially due to the fact you had checked in early, the final check was not able to be carried out before you had arrived where we would have rectified any faults, I’m afraid I have to dispute the floor being unclean and filthy cupboards. Yes there were a couple of aged cups that have been removed"
