STS Grade 3
New Listing for December 2019

A real 'wow' factor view across the Nantlle Valley through the patio doors of this spacious two bedroom bungalow near the mountain top village of Fron, 5 ml from the harbour and Royal town of Caernarfon. Comfortably prepared, fully carpeted and decorated to a high standard in a traditional style. The bungalow is surrounded by countryside and fields near the hilltop village with a myriad of country lanes and footpaths to explore. Very comfortably presented with all rooms on the ground floor although there is a short 30 yard walk from the parking area with some steps. Admire the views or take one of the many walks from the bungalow. This property is just above one of the new UNESCO World Heritage sites for 'Wales Slate' - Nantlle Valley Slate Quarry Landscape. One of the most interesting walks takes you through the Old Dorothea slate quarry; shrubs and trees are taking over now but still visible are abandoned historic machinery and slate mounds which have become part of this dramatic and beautiful landscape. A striking view of Anglesey awaits you as you tour through the little lanes towards the coast. The award winning sandy beach at Dinas Dinlle (3ml) nearby has 3 miles of gently sloping shore line, sand-dunes and rock pools. A small airfield just outside Dinas Dinlle has a museum and offers flights over Snowdonia. Caernarfon is an interesting harbour town dominated by its castle and town walls with small shops in the old narrow streets, boat trips, roman museum and fort. Plenty of interesting places to eat in Caernarfon. Welsh Highland Railway now has a steam train that travels from Caernarfon past Snowdon to Porthmadog - a great day out.

BATHROOM: Bath/WC with shower over the bath.

Peaceful, clean and comfortable but needs just a few more items to make it perfect. We had a wonderful holiday. The bungalow was very clean and comfortable. The bedding was excellent and beds comfortable but could do with a second pillow on the twin beds. The kitchen was obviously newly fitted and really nice but could do with more glasses, mugs and cutlery. Also another (larger) saucepan, measuring jug and casserole dish.We managed but making gravy in a mug for instance isn’t ideal. A milk saucepan too would be good. Also a washing line and please, please a bath mat (nobody takes one of them on holiday with them!). Bath, shower and hot water all excellent. The location and views are spectacular. A more peaceful spot you could not ask for. Finally the instructions for rubbish collection need revising as do the instructions for finding the place. Apparently the phone box, we were told to turn right at, was removed year’s ago and the name “Pwyll” needs to be visible from the road. We wasted a lot of time at the end of a long journey looking for it." Thanks for the Feedback, which will be passed on to the Property Owner for his attention. We will update the Directions regarding finding the property.
