What a View! - A window full of mountains. This family accommodation is located above Porthmadog Harbour and has unrivalled views of Snowdonia Mountains and the sea. Next to the historic slate staircase that joins Garth Road to the Harbour below - a shortcut in it's day for Sailors living on 'The Garth', a hill above Porthmadog. The homely prepared house has 4 bedrooms and 2 bath/shower rooms on Garth Road near a footpath to the beach and village of Borth y Gest. All front rooms of this 4 storey house have fantastic uninterrupted views across the Glaslyn estuary to a panorama of sea and mountain scenery. It is a 3 minute walk from the house to the historic harbour at Porthmadog, and just a little further on to the shops, cafes, restaurants, Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway steam train station, and museums. The bay and coves at Borth y Gest are 15 mins walk from the house, Black Rock Sands and Portmeirion village and gardens are just 2 mls, and majestic Snowdon mountain and Beddgelert (7 mls). This is a good central location for family get together in a large comfortable holiday property in North Wales.

4 BEDROOMS: 2 Double bedrooms (2nd floor), 1 bedroom with a double and a single bed (3rd floor) and 1 bedroom with two single beds (3rd floor) . Bed linen and towels provided.

LOUNGE with large picture window with sea and Snowdonia mountain views, comfortable seating around a Freeview Flat Screen Smart TV which is connected to the Internet so you can watch BBC iPlayer and your own online subscriptions (e.g. Netflix and Amazon Prime) (1st Floor).
GAMES ROOM: Next to the lounge with a tv monitor for games (1st Floor)
KITCHEN/DINER: Modern fitted kitchen with original slate floor and electric hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. Dining table big enough for 10 guests (Ground Floor).
GROUNDS: Accessed from the Kitchen/diner to an enclosed slate patio with panoramic views, bench seating and deck chairs (Ground Floor).
PARKING: Free Street parking on Garth Road.
HEATING: Gas central heating.
ELECTRICITY & GAS: Included. PLEASE NOTE that electricity is included only for the facilities provided at the property. CCharging of Electric Vehicles is Prohibited due to the risk of fire and electrocution. Closest charging point is at Porthmadog Tesco car park.
WiFi: Yes at 52 Mbps Internet speed.
PET: Two dogs are allowed here, there is a £20 Pet Charge per dog.
TOWELS: Yes (1 Hand towel and 1 Bath towel/person) Not bath sheets.

Mini-break rules: A mini-break is a holiday for less than 7 nights and/or may start on a day which isn't the normal changeover day. Minibreaks are acceptable at any time outside school holidays and within 60 days of the start date of the holiday in School Holidays.

Discounts Rules: Bookings between 7/3/22 - 14/07/22 and also between 27/08/22 - 16/12/22:
Bookings between 3-4 nights: Get a 10% discount if the booking is for 1-4 guests.
Bookings between 5-21 nights:
Get a 20% discount if the booking is for 1-2 guests.
Get a 15% discount if the booking is for 3-4 guests.
Get a 5% discount if the booking is for 5 guests.
Bookings between 22-30 nights get a 10% discount.

The showers worked really well. The kitchen equipment was all working fine with plenty of plates, cups glasses etc. Parking outside varied, sometimes we could park right outside but even if we couldn't we could park reasonably close on the same road. The steps down to the harbour are steep (gets you fit) but there is longer easier way round if you don't like steps."

Comfortable beds and on the whole well equipped kitchen with lots of crockery etc.
Although no parking always managed to park quite close in the road. Lots of lovely walks from the properly."

We had a very enjoyable holiday there. However; Second bedroom on 1 st floor a bit small for a double, Door on shower room would not close securely." 4/7/21: The shower room door will be inspected on Monday and hopefully rectified then.

We bring our own coffee making kit, so, some people might miss the ability to have a proper brew. Bathrooms could have been better, but we endured the tiny shower!overall, very good we enjoyed it!"

Location is great for the town and Ffestiniog railway which was the main reason for our visit that weekend- just perfect. Just beware for anyone with reduced mobility, the location does mean lots of steps, but this is mentioned in the description and is worth the climb!"

Staircases with hand rail to first floor ( 2 Double bedrooms and both the bathroom/wc and shower room/wc. Staircase to 2nd floor to family room with Double and single, and twin bedroom.
