Guest Feedback:
MC (September 2023): 4.7 STARS
"Great. Lovely relaxing holiday in a wonderful location. Did very little apart from enjoy the view over the estuary"
LB ( September 2023): Excellent "The flat is ideally situated for visits, the views over the estuary ever changing. Very comfortable."
PRB (September 2023): 4.8 STARS "Peaceful. Stayed for a week in September 2023, and caught the heatwave just right. Have stayed on the Wharf several times, but this accommodation was the most comfortable, and the best sited, being on the estuary side, with sights of all the birds and waders, also watching the comes and goings of the trains. The flat is well cared for, is modern, and carefully equipped for whatever is needed. Porthmadog of course is excellently situated for trips in all four directions, though on this occasion we were happy to sit outside the flat a lot of the time, enjoy the sun and the the bird songs. One word of warning, on the first day we visited the Londis Store at the local petrol station. We were charged £2.99 for a medium sized loaf, and £8.49 for a bottle of cough medicine!"
RJF (September 2023): Excellent "Excellent keep coming back and be back again. Very comfortable well stocked with essential in a beautiful position with lovely views of estuary, I've been coming back for several years and hope to visit again"
JA (July 2023) Excellent "Beautiful location, we all had a great time thank you."
PB (July 2023): 4.8 STARS "One tiny criticism! Overall we give the holiday accommodation 9/10. TV too small. Can't read TV Guide. 10/10 to Dan from STS for help with our WiFi problem and the Cleaner" Thanks for the Feedback - which are always passed on to the Property Owner.
MC (September 2022): 4.8 STARS "Love this place. Have been returning here once or twice a year for several years. Location is perfect and it is very well equipped"
HS (August 2022): 4.5 STARS "Good flat for couples. This is a small flat admirably positioned on South Snowdon Wharf for views of the Ffestiniog trains, wading birds and general tidal interest. The accomodation is in fact quite tight. It is clean and well maintained though, with a comfortable bed and sofa. There is Shower Room with a modern shower but no space for a bath (I doubt there is in many of these flats). As it is on the ground floor people occasionally pass by along the quayside so it is not quite so private as a first floor flat with a balcony, which some may prefer. The property has a number of useful appliances including a hair dryer which we found in a drawer in the bedroom. Practise is needed with the kettle (which does pour easily without spillage) and operating the security code mechanism (key safe) with its very small numbers and inclination to drop out on opening. Also a technique is required to get its hood back into position after the code has been entered and the key released. I have seen comment doubting the accomodation is 4*; depends what one would expect from 4* but we were satisfied with our choice of flat."
02 Jul 2022 02 Jul 2022: Excellent "Great will come again. A very nice clean and comfy flat. Lovely views. Close to town and the steam railway and plenty of days out to drive to nearby. Everything you need is in the flat. Will come again."
PC 25 Jun 2022: 4.5 STARS "An excellent place to stay to watch the birds and Ffestiniog Railway trains crossing the Cob.. On the first night, it was confusing to use the microwave, but after reading the instructions booklet about how use the microwave several times, it was easy to use the microwave from the 2nd night onward. On 2nd day I discovered where the sliding door key was hung up, and the internet password to use my iPad was in the information box. All in all, it is lovely place to stay. I’ll be back again as it is clean tidy place to stay. It was the 1st time I have stayed at this place. Diolch yr fawr."
KS (May 2022): Excellent "Loved it, did not want to go home, lovely to see the sea as soon as you get up. will book again!!!! Good directions to flat. easy key lock, was so impressed as soon as we opened the door, the view from patio-door was lovely. the tide was out in the estuary but full of birds. the estuary did not take long to fill up with the sea. Flat was very nice, cosy. Plenty of room in bedroom for all clothes, shower and toilet room lots of cupboard room. Kitchen had all we needed. living area was settee where you could just sit and watch the tide ebb and flow, TV on unit to watch, a good few books to read. near shops and mountain railway , also nice walks. "Offering excellent views of the estuary and mountains... All aready have good levels of comfort with modern furniture, furnishings and fittings."
Overall Quality Percentage: 76%

This is a ground floor apartment with the front door situated approx. 50 yards away from the allocated car parking space. Whilst the accommodation is all level throughout there is one step at the front door (and also at the patio door) and this coupled with restricted width would not prove suitable for wheelchair users.

All rooms open off a hallway which runs left to right inside the front door.

The bedroom has bedside lights in addition to the main ceiling light and power points at skirting board level. The shower room has wash basin, WC and an electric shower in a shower cubicle.

The sitting room has additional lighting, TV and DVD with remote controls. In the galley kitchen points are at working top level.

Heating is by way of night storage and electric heaters.

It is great to be back for the 2nd time this year. Once again, good weather, seeing the Ffestiniog Railway and Welsh Highland Railway trains arrive & depart from standing outside the flat. The Ffestiniog Railway trains can be seen inside the flat. I hope to be back in the same flat next year.
