Dowlais & Zig Zag Cottages can accommodate up to 8 guests in Zig Zag Cottage for 5 (ZZC) and and additional 2 guests in Dowlais Cottage (DG). The living accommodation in ZigZag is large enough to accommodate all guests. Caringly prepared they are a great place from where you can enjoy the mountains and the beaches of Snowdonia. Your pet dogs are welcome too, with plenty of walks from the doorstep just outside the village of Llanllyfni, 7 miles from Caernarfon and 10 miles from Porthmadog. Situated near the begining of the Nantlle Ridge, a local challenge of mountain ridges between Snowdon and the Sea. Snowdon itself is 11 miles away and the closest carpark and path up the highest mountian in Wales is at Rhyd Ddu (8 mls). Dowlais Cottage is only 4 miles from the award winning sandy beach at Dinas Dinlle. Caernarfon town (7 mls) has plenty of shops and places to eat down 'Hole in the Wall' street which is adjacent to the magnificent castle standing guard on the harbourside. Llanberis (12 mls) is another must do with steam trains going up Snowdon from the village and footpaths acending it's lofty heights. Lots to do in the area from visiting Wetland reserves, indoor climbing centre, walking on the beach or climbing mountains. Recommended area for easy access to Snowdonia, Lleyn peninsula and Anglesey.

GARDEN: Medium sized partly enclosed* sunny garden to the side of the property with countryside views and a larger shared garden. * Should be fully enclosed by the summer - please check.

KITCHEN (on the 1st floor): Well-equipped, modern fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, induction hob and electric oven, fridge, microwave and dishwasher.
LOUNGE (Ground floor): Magnificent living room with vaulted ceiling, wood-burning stove , flat screen freeview TV, DVD. Comfy corner suite and sofas and a pool table.
DINING ROOM (On the 1st floor): Open-tread stairs to 1st floor and large balcony over the lounge prepared as a spacious galleried dining room.
GARDEN: Small enclosed patio with garden furniture. Access to larger shared garden (dogs must be under control here.
PARKING: Ample parking by the front door.
HEATING: Timed electric wall heaters. Initial supply of logs included.
WiFi: Yes, free of charge.

We strongly recommend that you take our Cancellation Protection (see Terms & Conditions). If you continue you will notice that during the next booking steps this will automatically be selected for you and the price will increase, so simply de-select them on the bookings screen if you already have holiday insurance or if you do not want any cover.
The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.
After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture if you have moved them, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.
No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.
Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner.
