This is a lovely split level 17th century cottage of much character in the heart of the Snowdonia village of Trefriw with shops, restaurants and woollen mill all within 5 mins walk. Hidden in the hills above the village are Crafnant and Geirionydd lakes surrounded by mystical scenery of the Gwydyr Forest. All are excellent places to explore and to have shore side picnics. Gwydyr Forest's Marin Trail is just a short bike ride away, perfect for mountain biking adventures.
Lovingly restored Grade II listed family home includes a magnificent inglenook fireplace housing a log burning stove, a gallery and 2 foot thick walls. Returning guests complement its airy layout with the gallery opening into the kitchen/diner but still keeping a comfortable feel. Poet's Cottage near shops, restaurants and village inns. Great butchers opposite selling home made meat pies. Just 2 miles from the market town of Llanrwst and 4 miles from the stunning beauty of Betws y Coed, in the heart of Snowdonia. The beaches of the North Wales Coast are a quick 20 minute drive away. Llandudno (seaside town) and Conwy (harbour town) are both about 14 miles away from where you can enjoy many attractions including shopping, castles, ski and toboggan runs, a copper mine and RSPB wetland reserve.

Mini-break rules: A mini-break is a holiday for less than 7 days and/or may start on a day which isn't the normal changeover day (Saturday). In the season (April to end of October), this property will accept mini-breaks 14 - 21 days before the start date of the holiday, and 56 days before the start date of the holiday out of season (November to end of March).
Mr & Mrs C: "We had a fabulous week. The cottage is lovely. The rooms are all good sized doubles. The quality of the equipment in the cottage was great - from the fantastic shower and radio in the bathroom, to the resources and cooking equipment in the kitchen. Everything was of a high standard. The caretaker couldn't have been more helpful. The cottage is ideally placed for visiting the local area. We visited Caernarfon, Llanberis, Conwy and attractions including the Trefriw Woollen Mill, Sygun Copper Mine, and Shell Island. We also walked to the Fairy Falls and Llyn Crafnant - a beautiful walk. We had a wonderful week. If anyone is worried that the cottage is on the main road through the village, after 9pm at night you couldn't hear anything, and the road isn't that busy anyway during the day."

The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.
After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.
No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.
Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner. The property is situated on the edge of the village and assessable by the front door from the pavement. On street parking is either in a lay-by opposite the cottage or in parking bays outside the butchers a few doors down.
Front door opens down two small steps into a large lounge area the length of the property. The spacious kitchen is accessed via door on the far right down two steps and incorporates the dinning room and the patio door.
Two bedrooms lead directly off the landing at the top of the stairs; the bathroom and third bedroom are at the bottom of a small staircase. The bathroom has a large bath and separate shower cubicle.
All bedrooms have conventional central light fittings with bedside lamps. The bathroom, kitchen and landing uses halogen lighting. The lounge has multiple down lighting, a florescent strip-light in the fireplace and two reading lamps.
All light switches are at a height of approximately 1200mm, power sockets are approximately 300mm, apart from those fitted above the kitchen worktops.
The lounge has two three seated settees with a TV, VCR, DVD and satellite receiver all with remote controls. The radio/CD/Cassette player in the kitchen also has a remote.
Through the patio door is a small step down on to the large patio with furniture. At the end of the patio two steps lead down to the shed.
