LOUNGE: Single, click-clack bed settee, wood burner and TV/DVD.
GROUNDS: Seating to front with garden furniture to side of the cottage. Please note that the grounds belong to the mountain and are natural. Young children must be supervised at all times.
PARKING: Ample parking by the cottage.
HEATING: Electric radiators and two log burner.
ELECTRICITY & HEATING: Included. Logs available by arrangement (£6 per bag).
PET: 2 well behaved pets that are not tempted by sheep which graze up to the front door. Dogs must be controlled at all times.
EXTRA: Shared utility room (100m) with washing machine and tumble dryer and drying racks. A drawer in a shared freezer. Three cottages have access to this shared utility room: Cae Canol Cottage (5149), Cae Canol Farmhouse (5150) and Cae Canol Bach (5152).
WATER: The cottage has its own supply of mountain spring water which is filtered and UV treated.
ACCESS: The mountain track has reeds growing in the centre, there are 5 gates which are normally closed narrowest gate is 2.3m. The gateway is wide enough for a normal car (Honda CRV, Ford Focus and Vauxhall Corsa was OK). Link to a video of the track is in ACCESS tab.
April to October: It is recommended to come in a 4x4, but our cars and the owner's saloon have made it everytime with care.
October to April: You MUST come in a 4x4 as we cannot guarantee the weather or that you will make it up there.

Mini-break rules at this cottage: A mini-break is a holiday for less than a week and/or may start on a day which isn't the normal changeover day (Friday). This property owner will accept mini-breaks.
C, R P & M (Jan 2020): "What an amazing week... A great combination of chilling and doing stuff. Amazing beaches, especially Borth-y-Gest, so quiet. We walked up to the lake over the back and did some wild swimming - just awesome. The weather is everchanging up here. We've had mornings sitting in the sun drinking tea at the front of the cottage and cosy evenings in front of the fire listening to the wind howling. Thank you. X"

Our first full day we ventured out to Lake Idwal, a 3 hour walk and was stunning. My partner couldn't have picked a more beautiful place to propose. The next day we achieved Mt Snowdon and boy was that tough! The views were unbelievable and so worth it! To top off all of our adventures, we came back to this lovely cottage, put the fire on and had cosy nights to relax. Would highly recommend and will be returning in the future! "Set in a very rural location one of three traditional properties where guests are advised that owing to the approach a 4x4 vehicle for access might be prudent at certain times of the year. The properties have benefitted from the works by the owner with each having balcony bedroom off the lounge with electric heating."
We strongly recommend that you take our Cancellation Protection (see Terms & Conditions). If you continue you will notice that during the next booking steps this will automatically be selected for you and the price will increase, so simply de-select them on the bookings screen if you already have holiday insurance or if you do not want any cover.
The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.
After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture if you have moved them, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.
No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.
Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner. Please feel free to call us to discuss your requirements.
A cottage at the foot of Manod Mountain. Access is up a 1/2ml track through fields with gates that will need opening and closing. Not for the faint hearted. Unique!
Access from cark park is on uneven ground. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
