This is a cosy semi detached cottage to a grade II listed 500yr old stone farmhouse (our ref 5150) recently renovated with a mezzenine bedroom above the living room in Cwm Teigl, 2ml from Llan Ffestiniog. Access is along a gated (3) 0.5 ml mountain trackway as it steadily climbs towards Manod mountain. Country lovers will enjoy this location to walk the ancient footpaths to Cwm Penmachno or the Crimea pass surrounded by 'Wild Wales'. Comfortable open plan design with a contemporary fitted kitchen and shower room. Stunning views of unspoiled the surrounding countryside and Snowdonia from the doorstep and views down the valley towards the coast. Close to hand is Llan Ffestiniog which has an inn and shop, Blaenau Ffestiniog (5 mls) has the Ffestiniog Railway station, Zip World: Titan and Bounce Below, small super market and shops. The wonderful Black Rock Sands (12 mls) is the closest sandy beach where you can drive straight onto the 3mls of sands and dunes. If you can tempt yourself off the mountain then visit Harlech Castle (14 mls), Swallow Falls and Betws y Coed (15 mls) in the Conwy valley, Coed y Brenin mountian bike centre (16 mls) and Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon (30 mls). 

1 MEZZANINE BEDROOM with a Double bed and additional single mattress (access up steep ship's ladder with a hand rail on both sides). Bed linen and hairdryer are provided.

TOWELS: -At this time, due to Covid regulations, we are asking Guests bring their own TOWELS and TEA TOWELS.

SHOWER ROOM/WC: With electric shower (downstairs).
LIVING ROOM includes a KITCHEN AREA: Fitted kitchen with integrated hob, oven, fridge and microwave, dishwasher. Table and chairs.
LOUNG AREA: Comfy bed settee and cuddle chair, wood burner and TV/radio/CD/DVD.
UTILITY ROOM:  Direct access to the shared utility room. Three cottages have access to this shared utility room: Cae Canol Cottage (5149), Cae Canol Farmhouse (5150) and Cae Canol Bach (5152) with use of Washing machine, tumble dryer, drying racks, ironing board, freezer, log store, garden furniture and beach toys.
GROUNDS: Patio area to front with garden furniture. Please note that the grounds belong to the mountain and are natural with a small stream to the rear and remnants of stone walls. Young children must be supervised at all times.
PARKING: Ample parking by the cottage.
HEATING: wall mounted motion sensor intelligent electric heater; log burner; and additional oil filled plug in radiators available on request.
ELECTRICITY & HEATING: Included. Logs and kindling available at additional cost of £6 each per bag. Please check availability.
PETS: We welcome up to 2 well behaved pets that are not tempted by sheep which graze up to the front door. Dogs must be controlled at all times.
NB: Electric vehicle charging point available
WATER: The cottage has it's own supply of mountain spring water which is filtered and UV treated.
NOTE: You are a good 15 minutes drive away from civilisation. Take everything you need for the first day. Warm clothes and sturdy boots are essential up here - even in the summer.

WIFI: There is currently no wifi connection. You can get a really good mobile signal with all providers except Vodafone from our experience in all the properties. 
Electric vehicle charging point is available at the property.
ACCESS: The mountain track has reeds growing in the centre, there are 6 gates up to the property which must be closed after you. The narrowest gate is 2.3m, which is wide enough for a normal car (Honda CRV, Ford Focus and Vauxhall Corsa all OK). Link to a video of the track is in ACCESS tab.
April to October: It is recommended to come in a 4x4, but our cars and the owner's saloon have made it everytime with care.
October to April: You MUST come in a 4x4 as we cannot guarantee the weather or that you will make it up there.

Mini-break rules at this cottage: A mini-break is a holiday for less than a week and/or may start on a day which isn't the normal changeover day (Friday). This property owner will accept mini-breaks.

We strongly recommend that you take our Cancellation Protection (see Terms & Conditions). If you continue you will notice that during the next booking steps this will automatically be selected for you and the price will increase, so simply de-select them on the bookings screen if you already have holiday insurance or if you do not want any cover.

The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.

After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture if you have moved them, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.

No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.

Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner. High up in the mountains in a 500yr old converted storehouse. Crog loft bedroom up a steep ladder. Access is by a 1/2 mile track through fields. Not for the faint hearted. Country lovers only!

Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as access is on uneven ground and the bedroom is reached only by a steep ladder.
