Country lovers will adore this detached cottage. A discreet distance from neighbours but with a grandstand view across the valley facing south with Manod Mawr mountain in the back garden (well practically). We had tea on the veranda and all was at peace. The owner has carefully renovated the cottage with new bathrooms and kitchen, heating systems and all modern conveniences, but presents a turn of the century ambiance with antique furniture and victorian prints. It works well. Children will love the open spaces. Walk from the door step. Cwm Teigl is just above Porthmadog (12 ml). The nearest village is Llan Ffestiniog (1.5ml) which has a little village shop and community run pub - please support them. Blaenau Ffestinog is 4.5 mls and has a supermarket, shops, leisure centre, and an advanced mountain biking centre, Slate Caverns, Zip Wire and Bounce Below,. Drive over the Crimea Pass to Dolwyddelan castle, Betws y Coed and the Conwy Valley. Down the valley is Maentwrog and the famous Grapes Hotel, Portmeirion Italianate style village (Prisoner and Festival No. 6) and the harbour town of Porthmadog and home of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland steam railways. Very central for touring, perfect for 'just chilling', excellent for mountain bikers.
3 BEDROOMS: 1 bedroom with an antique double bed with valley views, 1 bedroom with two single beds and valley views and 1 single bedroom. Bed linen is provided. Please bring all your own towels and tea towels.

GARDEN: Natural grounds, enclosed with some garden furniture. There is a small stream in the corner of the garden not suitable for unsupervised toddlers. The stone walls that surround the garden are about 3 foot high.
PARKING: Parking for 2 cars.
HEATING: Full oil central heating.
ELECTRICITY & HEATING: Starter pack of Logs, electricity and timed central heating included.
WiFi: Included free.
GARAGE: For bike storage in the back porch.
EXTRA: Access is up a 0.25 mile maintained drive.
PETS: This is sheep country and only 1 small well behaved pet can be accepted.

A single £27 Booking Fee applies to all bookings and is included in the price shown. Bookings for 2 weeks will be eligible for a £27 Multi-week Saving. Please claim this in the 'Additional Information' box that appears during the booking process and we will adjust the total before deducting the money from your card.
We strongly recommend that you take our Cancellation Protection (see Terms & Conditions). If you continue you will notice that during the next booking steps this will automatically be selected for you and the price will increase, so simply de-select them on the bookings screen if you already have holiday insurance or if you do not want any cover.
The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.
After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.
No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.
Mini-breaks & Weekends: Bookings that are for less than 7 nights are only bookable within 21 days (some properties are within a different amount of days) of the start date of the holiday. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's usual change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner.
