Sparrows is situated in an elevated position at the head of the Ffestiniog Valley in Snowdonia and yet only 12miles from the Cambrian coastline as seen in the distance. More dramatic scenery cannot be found anywhere. High craggy peaks with evidence of slate quarrying through the ages here and there. This is one of 6 small terraced stone cottages a few minutes walk from the High Street at the historic quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. Recently prepared by it's proud owner where every thought has been given to offer a comfortable place to stay for her guests. All facilities provided including washing machine and tumble dryer for those wanting a longer holiday in Snowdonia. There are shops and eating places in the town and within half a mile is the old Llechwedd Quarry where trips underground show the work involved in 'Roofing the world' with slate, Zip World: Titan and Bounce Below are also just outside the town as is Antur Stiniog the wild off road cycling centre. If adrenaline isn't your thing then touring the area and visiting National Trust's Bodnant Garden's (23 mls) Portmeirion Village (11 mls) or a few castles might be the thing to do. You can even catch the Ffestiniog Railway's steam train down to Porthmadog harbour (12 mls) and visit the sandy beaches or catch a train to Llandudno (32 mls) and visit this Victorian Seaside resort for a change of culture. What ever you choose - if it's sea or mountain you won't be far from anywhere here.

Well stocked local shop and other small shops for everything you need. Didn't have the best weather so the central heating was a bonus. Very good value, the best we have stayed in."

Hairdryer, CD player, picnic box, ice blocks, tea, coffee, milk and the added touch of Welsh cakes on arrival. Our host was amazing - very friendly and helpful - recommended places to go, walks and eat and went through everything in great detail - she was available by telephone if we needed anything. The cottage is ideally placed for Zip World:Titan, Bounce Below - only 10 minute walk away. Great place to explore North Wales and Snowdonia."

The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.
After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture if you have moved them, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.
No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.
Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner. Un restricted street parking, although it cannot be guaranteed outside the door, it won't be far away. one step into the cottage to the lounge, kitchen and utility room. Up a flight of stairs to the first floor with a hand rail to two bedrooms and a shower room wc. There is quite a high step into the shower . Externally to the rear is an elevated slated area with steps down to a small enclosed garden laid to lawn with out houses.
