This elevated log cabin provides a marvellous outlook across open scenery to the summit and flanks of the Rhinog Fawr. The sun deck offers an 'al fresco' dining area with beautiful views. The lodge has all you need for a home from home holiday, a lovely shabby chic interior, electric heating in all rooms, and a parking area at the front of the lodge. This is a base for lovers of outdoor pursuits, or just a romantic hideaway. We are conveniently located amongst probably the best scenery, and attractions in North Wales. A 20 minute drive to various beaches, including Black Rock Sands in Morfa Bychan, Shell Island in Llanbedr, Harlech, Barmouth and Llanfair are some of the most dramatic and breathtaking beaches in the UK. For extreme sports enthusiasts, there is the white water rafting centre at Bala (20 minutes away). Extreme mountain biking trails in Coed-y-Brenin (5 minutes away), and mountain walks all within a brief distance from the lodge. Food and gift shopping is available at Dolgellau (10 mls) and Porthmadog (15 mls), and Barmouth (17 mls). Portmeirion Italianate village is approx 25 minutes away. Restaurant on site at the Rhiw Goch Inn, also traditional inns at Trawsfynydd, Barmouth and locally at Maentwrog.

We strongly recommend that you take our Cancellation Protection (see Terms & Conditions). If you continue you will notice that during the next booking steps this will automatically be selected for you and the price will increase, so simply de-select them on the bookings screen if you already have holiday insurance or if you do not want any cover.
The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.
After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.
No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.
Mini-breaks & Weekends: Bookings that are for less than 7 nights are only bookable within 21 days (some properties are within a different amount of days) of the start date of the holiday. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's usual change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner. The log cabin was built in the mid/late eighties and has been a holiday let for at least 8 years. There is a parking area for 2 cars on a fairly level gravel area.
The site is in an area of particular environmental and natural bio-diversity within the Snowdonia National park therefore very dark at night with outside light restricted and minimal. The cabin is entered by three decking steps to the right of the decking and entry is via a front door with a small threshold. The cabin is all on one level with small thresholds in to the two bedrooms and the shower room.
The door widths are: Front door 30", Internal 22".
The walls are wood. The lighting is good with the main rooms having spot/ wall lights and also side lamps in the bedroom with additional lights to aid preparation/cooking.
The floors are wood with various hessian matts. The TV has a remote control. There is no telephone. There are no assisted handrails other than the balustrade at the decking entrance. Outside a narrow path encircles the log cabin and there is a small area of lawn. Outdoor furniture is provided on the raised decking.
