An invitation is extended to caring guests to enjoy staying at this lovely country house, situated in a peaceful location opposite Portmeirion village on the Dwyryd estuary foreshore near the small village of Ynys, 3 miles from Harlech. Built at the turn of the century, this country retreat is surrounded by its large garden and farmland and is now two independent homes. On offer is the whole of the first floor of this grand house with magnificent views across the estuary to Portmeirion, Porthmadog and Snowdon. It is comfortably furnished contemporary with its age. It is a haven for bird watchers with 40 different species spotted by one observer. A mile down the lane is the small hamlet of Ynys, with Harlech village 3 miles for visiting the beautiful sandy beach, castle, antique shops, theatre, leisure centre and golf course. Porthmadog town is just 7 miles for shops, steam train rides, harbour and restaurants.

3 BEDROOMS: 1 Double bedroom and 2 Twin bedrooms. Egyptian cotton bed linen provided. Please bring your own towels & tea towels. An additional bedroom available on request, sleeps 2 children in Bunk beds. £75 extra. Cot available.

If you continue you will notice that during the next booking steps this will automatically be selected for you and the price will increase, so simply de-select them on the bookings screen if you already have holiday insurance or if you do not want any cover.

The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.

After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.

No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.

Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner. Please feel free to call us to discuss your requirements.

 

Access to the gardens is via steps which are quite steep from both the back door and the side garden. Parking is on the level with the front door, but there is the gate to open on the drive by the farm. In order to get the keys it is necessary to go down the steps to the garden but these keys open the door that is on the level with the car parking area. There may be problems with access to the flat for wheelchair users as there are several large, heavy plant pots along the access path which makes it too narrow.
