STS Grade 4

Extremely comfortable bungalow in a small quiet cul de sac in the village of Pentrefelin ('The Village with a Mill'), conveniently situated just 2.5 miles from Porthmadog and 2 miles from Cricieth. This single storey property is tastefully decorated in a contemporary style with comfortable furniture and a lovely conservatory/dining room with garden access. There is ample parking on the drive and cars can be parked within a few feet of the front door for the less abled. Pentrefelin is a small hamlet that has a very historical church hidden down a country lane. There are rights of way down to the beaches at Criccieth Black & Rock Sands from the village (although we cannot recomend these routes for parties with young children and the OS 1:25,000 Exploer Map is recomended) - we recomend to either drive the 5 minutes to Cricieth or 10 minutes to Morfa Bychan (Black Rock Sands) beach. Criccieth is a pretty village with some nice restaurants and a few shops dominated by a ruined castle above the sea. The views when you enter Cricieth are unforgettable. Porthmadog is a larger town than Cricieth and has a super store, leisure centre and many shops and eating places. Its star attraction is the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland steam trains that take visitors up into the snowdonia mountains. Convenient location for the Snowdonia National Park and the Llyn Peninsula, Portmeirion, Caernarfon castle and the harbour village of Abersoch. Fishing and daytime cafe at Eisteddfa Fishery 0.5 miles.

Guest Feedback:

Mrs P (May 2019):  Excellent "A very comfortable, clean, and well equipped bungalow. The facilities available in the bungalow were over and above what were expecting for the price. It is within a short journey away from three major super markets which makes it a convenient location if you are self catering. The garden is totally secure if you are taking a dog."
The H Family (October 2018): "What a find! A lovely holiday cottage ? very comfortable and cosy and so well equipped. It was the perfect location as our family were able to stay just down the road on the same estate. I will be back. Thank you"
J, M & L (September 2018): "We have had a fabulous week exploring Snowdonia not least because we were fortunate that the weather was spectacular. A good time was had by all. The bungalow is in a perfect location for getting around."
J & R (September 2018): "One of the best equipped holiday cottages we have ever stayed in. We have had a lovely week exploring the fantastic scenery of North Wales. Criccieth is a joy ? the coastal walk is lovely. Thank you for sharing your bungalow with us. We hope to return one day."
M, B & F (September 2018): "We have had a lovely week. The accommodation met our needs completely ? lovely enclosed garden for our dog. Weather was wonderful and we explored the whole Peninsula and had some great walks."
P, M & R (September 2018): "Second time at this bungalow ? ideal spot for the coast. We had some good weather with beautiful views from Criccieth Castle. An enjoyable week."
The M Family (September 2018): "We have had a lovely week here despite some awful weather at the start. We're sad to be leaving. The bungalow has been a perfect base for visiting all our favourite places and discovering some new ones. We've been very comfortable and have been particularly impressed with your central heating. Our favourite places to visit have been Conwy, the beautiful Llanberis Pass and Snowdon and Portmeirion. We have had the best scones ever in Beddgelert, at the caf? by the river with a terrace. We also had a good meal at the Aberdeunant Hall in Prenteg, just beyond Tremadog on the road to Beddgelert as well as at Castle Deudraeth. We hope to come again."
R & P (August 2018): "What a delightful bungalow. Cosy, comfortable and quiet and with a wonderfully well equipped kitchen too. Thank you for a super week. We have visited castles in Criccieth and Harlech (dogs allowed!) but were disappointed we didn't get to see Portmeirion (no dogs!) We've had some great walks on the beach in sun, wind and rain and got soaked to the skin. Climbing Cadair Idris. Cadwaladers in Criccieth serves the very best ice-cream in the world. Thank you."
K & G (July 2018): "Thank you very much for the welcome pack. It was very much appreciated. We have enjoyed our week here in such a well-equipped bungalow and in such a peaceful area. Our favourite places to eat were in Criccieth rather than Porthmadog, although we did go to Spooner's by the railway station. We had tasty and delicious meals at the Castle, The Poachers, Moelwyn, Swn y Mor. For a wet day a visit to the Lloyd George Museum is worthwhile. We also supported the starlight players in Criccieth with their comedy production of ?Boeing Boeing?. They did very well indeed and we were able to purchase tickets on the night. Thanks again."
J, M & E (June 2018): "We are always looking for holiday cottages that are suitable to bring our dog and he's been totally fine with the enclosed garden etc. We've been to Black Rock Sands a couple of times, really easy with the dog as you can park on the beach. Thank you for a lovely stay!"
S, B & C (May 2018): "We have had a lovely week. The weather has been great. Cody our 6 month old dog loved his first holiday. Bungalow was amazing home from home ? everything you needed was here. A lovely welcome tray. The owner was a lovely lady. Many thanks, the bungalow is a credit to you."
B & A (May 2018): "Lovely bungalow, mixed week with the weather. Wonderful beaches, very relaxing."
