The perfect location for admiring the beauty of Snowdonia National Park. A real 'wow' factor view across the Nantlle Valley can be had whilst sitting comfortably in the cosy lounge or from the secluded patio area. The bungalow is surrounded by countryside and fields near the hilltop village of Fron, 5ml from Caernarfon. Very conveniently presented with all rooms on the ground floor. Wonderful views of the Eifl mountains, with the valley rolling down towards Snowdon. Admire the views or take one of the many walks from the bungalow. This property is just above one of the new UNESCO World Heritage sites for Wales Slate - Nantlle Valley Slate Quarry Landscape. One of the most interesting walks takes you through the Old Dorothea slate quarry; shrubs and trees are taking over now but still visable are abandoned historic machinery and slate mounds which have become part of this dramatic and beautiful landscape. A striking view of Angelsey awaits you as you tour through the little lanes towards the coast. The award winning sandy beach at Dinas Dinlle nearby has 3 miles of gently sloping shore line, sand-dunes and rock pools. A small airfield just outside Dinas Dinlle has a museum and offers flights over Snowdonia. Caernarfon is an interesting harbour town dominated by its castle and town walls with small shops in the old narrow streets, boat trips, roman museum and fort. Plently of interesting places to eat in Caernarfon. The Welsh Highland Railway trains now start from Caernarfon and pass the foot of Snowdon and then onward to Porthmadog. The closest Steam Railway Station to Math Bungalow is Waunfawr, which is 12 minutes drive away from the property (4 miles).

LOUNGE/DINER: with amazing valley views, woodburner style electric fire, 40" HD digital Satellite TV, & PlayStation 3 (which plays DVDs and Blu-Ray). Dining table and chairs. Patio doors to enclosed sunny patio with elevated valley view.
KITCHEN: Fitted kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
GARDEN: There is a small patio area to the back of the property with stunning views of the mountains.
PARKING:Ample private parking shared with other Meillionydd properties.
HEATING:Full central heating.
ELECTRICITY & CENTRAL HEATING included.
PETS: No pets under ANY circumstances (Property Owner has allergies).
TOWELS:
-At this time, due to Covid regulations, we are asking Guests bring their own TOWELS and TEA TOWELS.

EXTRA: The bungalow is totally self contained and private with its own seperate access. Access to the front door from the carparking area is via a gate along a short path with two steps into the house.

NOTE: There is a bus stop in the village square about 500m from the cottage. Bus number 81 travels from Caernarfon to Penygroes. Also please note that there is now a small shop and cafe in the old Fron school whichis a short walk from the cottage.

Mini-break rules at this cottage: A mini-break is a holiday for less than a week and/or may start on a day which isn't the normal changeover day (Saturday). This property owner will only accept mini-breaks at anytime 'out of Holiday Season' (Early November to End of March - not including Christmas, New Years Eve and Easter Holiday Weeks). This property owner will only accept mini-breaks IF the booking is made within 56 days before the start date of the holiday in the 'Holiday Season' (End of March to End of October - including Christmas, New Years Eve and Easter Holidays).

Guests' Feedback:

Mr F (August 2021): Neutral "The cottage was very good, though STS had not had the place cleaned or bed linen changed when we arrived"  The Owner's Deputy got mixed up with the dates. She and some STS staff attended to the cottage immediately the problem was brought to our attention. STS gave the Guests a partial refund. STS have retained part of the Guests Good Housekeeping Bond when sheep dropping stains on carpets were found after they departed the cottage.

Ms B (July 2021): "Lovely location, nice and quiet. Big rooms and comfy beds and sofa. Lush shower. Good working appliances in the kitchen. Well stocked utensils and crockery, however would have appreciated lids for the pots"  Comments passed on to the Property Owner for their consideration.

Visit Wales Comments (November 2019): "Set on a small development positioned close to Dinas Dinlle beach and the historic town of Caernarfon the properties have wonderful views of the mountains."

Our experience shows that this procedure results in an all round better holiday for everyone, as our holiday home owners are prepared to offer better quality properties for guests and all guests fully respect the property and so make manageable the process of  preparing the property for the next guest's full enjoyment. Nearly all our guests are respectful people and the Good Housekeeping Deposit is fully refunded. We have a high proportion of returning guests who are appreciative of our service and the high standard of accommodation that we strive to provide. We strongly recommend that you take our Cancellation Protection (see Terms & Conditions). If you continue you will notice that during the next booking steps this will automatically be selected for you and the price will increase, so simply de-select them on the bookings screen if you already have holiday insurance or if you do not want any cover.

The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.

After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture if you have moved them, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.

No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.

Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner.
