You will feel on top of the world staying at this beautifully prepared cottage in the hills above Porthmadog. The views are breath-taking from this sensitively converted detached farm building. The nearest neighbours are a couple of fields away, so it is remote, but not isolated. There are lovely walks up here to Llyn Du lake and further afield to Cwm Ystradllyn lake (a Mecca for fishermen). Situated 2 miles from the small village of Prenteg, 3.5 miles from the village inns and shops at Tremadog and 4.5 miles from the harbour town of Porthmadog, it has everything close by whilst being a great bolt hole to relax in and watch the world go by. Beddgelert and Snowdon are 6 miles or 20 mins scenic drive up the Glaslyn gorge. See the Welsh Highland train follow the river valley to Snowdon and Caernarfon. The local beaches are sandy and numerous, Borth y Gest bay is the closest with a lovely coastal foot path through Black Rock Sands to the more cobbled beach at Criccieth.

Mini-break rules at this cottage: A mini-break is a holiday for less than a week and/or may start on a day which isn't the normal changeover day (Saturday). This property owner will only accept mini-breaks at short notice - not more than 21 days before the starting date of the holiday.
Please note: A returnable £100 Good Housekeeping Deposit will be required before we can give the key safe code. Our experience shows that this procedure results in an all round better holiday for everyone, as our holiday home owners are prepared to offer better quality properties for guests and all guests fully respect the property and so make manageable the process of preparing the property for the next guest's full enjoyment. Nearly all our guests are respectful people where the bond is fully returned. A fantastic and very comfortable secluded cottage with beautiful views which is fully equipped, very modern and spacious - tardis-like! We have all loved our week here, as I write this the stars outside are amazing, gleaming in the still, clear air, shining brightly. Five of us have stayed here very comfortably, with ages ranging from 4 - 80 years old. We have had 2 birthdays here this week, the main one being my father's 80th. A wonderful week away to celebrate and a superb base to explain all areas; North, South, East and West. Old, young and very young have loved being here and the view is sensational with a lovely patio and viewing window to take it in from. Thank you for a wonderful location and accommodation to enjoy an 80th birthday family celebratory week away. We have all loved it and are sad to leave. Thank you for allowing us to stay. My little boy will miss rounding up the sheep and cows with granddad's cow herding noises from the car as we travel in and out of the local roads surrounding the cottage."

The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.
After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture if you have moved them, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.
No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.
Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner. Access to this property is via 2 farm gates. Which must be closed at all times.
Parking next to the house is on a very gentle sloping gravel area with space for 6 cars if needed.
Cars can park close to a slate paved patio area and a walk to the house is 10m.
There are two entrances to the house each has one step.
There are 2 ground floor bedrooms, kitchen, sitting room, bathroom with toilet and a separate toilet.
Another bedroom, with sloping ceilings, is up a narrow flight of stairs.
