Mrs P (October 2021): "Excellent - Good immediate feedback to our booking. We had a wonderful time. The property was cosy, well equipped and very comfortable. With our own entrance gate, path and garden with patio area, it was private and secluded with amazing views over the hills and down into Porthmadog. The hostess was so welcoming and helpful, she made our stay so perfect. A welcome pack on arrival was so lovely and she was always on hand to help in whatever way she could. Ideally situated for the town and surrounding area we can highly recommend. We will definitely return."
Mrs S (September 2021): "Lovely quiet position above Porthmadog. Well equipped kitchen. Nice patio to sit out on. Helpful owner and cake and other goodies left out for us. Inside seating a little disappointing. The settee had been replaced by 2 easy chairs which although comfortable were low and not easy to get in and out of." Feedback passed on the Property Owner.
Mrs K (September 2021): "Excellent cottage for 2 in a woodland setting but only 10 minute walk up a steepish hill from town. Hosts very friendly and welcoming with many extras left for us. Lovely area to sit outside with a beautiful 'secret garden'. Would highly recommend."
Mrs K (August 2021): "Good points first: Quaint little cottage in a superb location. Well-equipped with all you might need. Owners extremely welcoming and promptly responded to our requests. Welcome bottle of milk, butter, homemade jam and Welsh cakes were waiting for us on arrival. Now the bad points: Property generally tired and needs a revamp. Welcome pack needs updating. Glass hob chipped and sharp in places, bathroom sink loose on the pedestal and does not drain properly, bath seal and shower hose filthy and mouldy, numerous cobwebs and very dusty throughout. Property photos outdated (no couch but 2x single armchairs - lovely, but a bit like finding a bunk bed instead of a king!), property not properly cleaned to any standard on arrival (pet hair, crumbs and dust bunnies throughout), half used condiments left by previous occupants (including jam, sugar, teabags, ice - unacceptable especially due COVID - if at all, then individually sealed items should be provided as a welcome gesture), outdated paracetamol and cold/flu tabs (from 2015, so 6 years old!) found in a box labelled ?useful bits n bobs?, outdated leaflets from 2013 (so 8 years old!) of timetables and things to do in the area, no working smoke alarm, which I believe is required by U.K. law, in any property that is rented out. We arrived Saturday, contacted STS first thing Monday morning, who were quick to attend and install a fire alarm. They arranged for the cleaner to return, although inconvenient because all our things were already unpacked, it made the rest of our stay more comfortable. A thorough deep clean was still required on our departure and attention to be given to the finer details in order to maximise the full potential of this hidden gem and to justify the price charged. Overall, an enjoyable stay, however needs attention in the above areas" Thanks for the Feedback which we have passed on to the Property Owner and all photos have been updated. The Property Owner inspected the property themselves as soon as they were made aware of the cleanliness issues and agreed that their Deputy had not done a good enough job - they left flowers and asked STS to refund the Guests equivalent to a loss of 1 day of their holiday - which was done and the Guests informed.
