Harbour Views PorthmadogRef: 1102B
This delightful harbourside apartment is just across the way from the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway station where the occasional steam train can be heard in the distance as it slowly leaves on its journey into Snowdonia. The accommodation is extremely comfortably prepared with spacious rooms all on the ground floor and within a few minutes walk of Porthmadog High Street with its many shops and restaurants, leisure centre and museums. You could forget using the car here if it wasn't for the tempting abundant scenic beauty which surrounds Porthmadog. The dramatic splendour of Snowdonia to the south and east, and the gentler countryside and sandy beaches to the west along the Llyn Peninsula. Beddgelert village at the foot of Snowdon is just 7 ml. Cricieth beaches, dominated by its Welsh castle is 5ml. Portmeirion 'Italianate styled village' is a healthy 3 mile walk (or 10 mins by car). Mr S (August 2021): "The flat was well equipped and very comfortable. The views were stunning and the proximity of the Porthmadog trains added a great deal of extra interest. It lived up to hopes and expectations - just what it said on the tin!"
Mrs H (July 2021): "Lovely clean comfortable flat with beautiful views over the harbour and nearby hills. Despite being so handy for the busy high street and steam trains it is so peaceful. Ideal for those with limited mobility as well as those who can make the most of the plentiful walks nearby with spectacular views towards Snowdon."
Mr & Mrs H (July 2021): Excellent location - generally very good facilities - weak points: shower fitting and TV remote control (not working well). - STS Holiday response: We have inspected the shower fitting and everything is now OK. We have cleaned the inside of remote control and it is working fine now.
