A carefully prepared semi detached, white-washed stone cottage in a select area near the beach at Morfa Bychan, 2 miles from the harbour town of Porthmadog. There has been much attention to detail in this extremely comfortable semi detached cottage with calm pastel decoration throughout. It has full double glazing and gas central heating and there is an enclosed garden which includes a back garden for the morning sun and a front garden for the evening sun. and views of Moel y Gest mountain. The 3 mile stretch of beach and dunes at Black Rock Sands and Samson's Bay beaches are within 10 mins easy walk (along a footpath), as is the 18 hole golf course. The village has a shop/PO and pub. Porthmadog town is of modest size but full of interesting shops, museums and eating places. It is also the terminus of the Little Ffestiniog Railway, offering scenic steam train rides up the valley into the mountains of Snowdonia. This is a good central location for a holiday cottage in North Wales.
2 BEDROOMS: 1 with a Double bed (compact around the bed) and one with a Single bed with a pull out Single bed (only suitable for a child) that fills the room. Bed linen and towels are included.

The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.
After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture if you have moved them, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.
No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.
Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner. Garreg Goch Holiday Cottage is a semi detached 19th century stone built cottages situated in a quiet lane in the popular village of Morfa Bychan on the edge of the famous Black Rock Sands, just 2.5 miles from the harbour town of Porthmadog. They have been modernised in recent years to a high standard with the addition of double glazing and central heating. The gardens have been revamped this year.
They are approached down a private tarmac roadway which then leads to the outside of No1 with parking for 2 cars. From the parking area, an entrance gate opens (down a small step) onto a slate paved patio which leads you to the front door or the back door; both of these entrances have the normal UPVC 'door step'. Access to the rear of the property is from the slate patio, across the gravel area onto the rear paved patio and through the 'Double French Doors' which have no step.
Once inside the house, most internal doors are around 700mm wide with varying heights.
Most electrical sockets are around 200mm from the floor. Light switches are around 1300mm from the floor.
The lounge has double French doors to the rear of the property and a window and a glazed 'front door' to the front.
Off the lounge is the dining room with a window to the front.
From here, a narrow opening leads into the kitchen, which has a window to the rear and a back door to the side pathway.
From the lounge, the narrow staircase leads up to the landing with a window to the rear. Off the landing is a family bathroom with a 'P' shaped bath with shower over. At the top of the landing is the double bedroom. This has narrow access to both sides of the bed and a window at each end. It has two 'bedside' lights.
At the other end of the narrow landing is the smaller bedroom which has a single bed, a window to the front and a bedside light.
Outside the house, at the front, is a slate paved area with a gravelled area beyond with a table and 6 chairs.
A slate paved path leads to the rear of the property where there is a gravelled area, a small garden shed and a patio area which is also accessed from the lounge French doors.
