A beautiful ground floor apartment in the select 'Oakleys' development. The new owners of this very stylish and contemporary property have added a touch of home comforts to an already favourite amongst returning STS guests. Furnished comfortably with wooden flooring and stylish decoration, it has an open plan living room/kitchen with French doors leading out to the patio and to the courtyard for parking close-by. All rooms are on the ground floor.
It is conveniently situated behind Porthmadog's high street, only 2 minutes away from the harbour and 5 minutes walk to the Ffestiniog Railway steam train railway station. Porthmadog offers a good selection of shops and restaurants and there are interesting scenic walks withink 5 minutes of the accommodation. Excellent choice of beaches at Borth y Gest (1 mls) or Black Rock Sands (2 mls). Portmeirion village (2 mls), Harlech castle (9 mls), Snowdon mountain and Cricieth town and castle (5 mls) are amongst many favourite places to visit whilst on holiday in Porthmadog.

2 BEDROOMS: 1 Kingsize bedroom with Freeview TV, and 1 Twin bedroom with two single beds & Freeview TV. Bed linen provided, please bring your own towels & tea towels. Cot and highchair available. If cot required, please note linen may not be provided.

Mini-break rules at this cottage: A mini-break is a holiday for less than a week and/or may start on a day which isn't the normal changeover day (Saturday). This property owner will only accept mini-breaks at short notice - not more than 21 days before the starting date of the holiday.

Please note: A returnable £100 Good Housekeeping Deposit will be required before we can give the key safe code. Our experience shows that this procedure results in an all round better holiday for everyone, as our holiday home owners are prepared to offer better quality properties for guests and all guests fully respect the property and so make manageable the process of  preparing the property for the next guest's full enjoyment. Nearly all our guests are respectful people where the bond is fully returned. We have a high proportion of returning guests who are appreciative of our service and the high standard of accommodation that we strive to provide. "We have just completed our fourth stay at 8 The Oakleys. As ever the property is immaculate and very well appointed. The only downside is the poor mobile phone reception although there is one corner in which reception is fine. The apartment is located really centrally in Porthmadog with easy access to the narrow gauge railways, the harbour and the town. It is very secure with its private parking place immediately adjacent. The locality has suitable dog walking areas. We shall be booking again for next year."

We strongly recommend that you take our Cancellation Protection (see Terms & Conditions). If you continue you will notice that during the next booking steps this will automatically be selected for you and the price will increase, so simply de-select them on the bookings screen if you already have holiday insurance or if you do not want any cover.

The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.

After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.

No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.

Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner. Access Statement

Parking in dedicated space 5 meters from French doors, 10 meters from front door. Surface is tarmac. 1 step into apartment of about 8 inches. All doors standard width. Bathroom/WC with drencher shower over the bath, hand wash basin and WC. Living room and bedrooms are quite spacious if a wheelchair was needed inside, but check with us first with dimensions of chair etc.
