A lovely apartment for the more discerning guest in the prestigious 'Oakleys' discretely situated behind Porthmadog high street and only 2 minutes walk away from the harbour and 4 minutes walk to the Ffestiniog steam train railway station. This first floor apartment is comfortably furnished in a contemporary style with wooden flooring and neutral decoration. The spacious open plan living room has a kitchen/dining area at one end and a lounge with Juliette balcony on the other end. There are views of the harbour with it's bobbing boats and Snowdonia mountains beyond. There are 2 bedrooms, a master bedroom and a single bedroom with an additional pull out bed. Access is by a flight of internal stairs shared with one other apartment from the secure parking in the courtyard. A short stroll to the high street for a selection of shops, street cafes and restaurants. There are interesting scenic walks from the accommodation along the causeway or from the harbour to the little seaside village of Borth y Gest. Bird watchers and train enthusiasts enjoy this location equally where the steam train crosses the estuary and river flood plain that attract so many migrant and domestic wild fowl including an Osprey family. Excellent choice of sandy beaches at Borth y Gest (1 mls) or Black Rock Sands (2 mls). Portmeirion village (2 mls), Harlech castle (9 mls), Snowdon mountain and Beddgelert (7 mls) and Zip World: Titan (12 mls) are amongst many favourite places to visit whilst on holiday here.
2 BEDROOMS: Bedroom 1 has a Kingsize bed. Bedroom 2 has a Single bed.
However, by request only Bedroom 2 can also have a pull out 2' 6" Single (for a child) - these are normally set on opposite end of the room but they could be put together, but wouldn't be any room on either side to get in and out of the bed and it would block the wardrobe door. IF you want 2 single beds in Bedroom 2 please wright request in the note section on your online booking or request this set up by calling us on 01766 51 38 29.

Mini-break rules for this Cottage: This cottage only allow mini-breaks at short notice of 28 days between April and October (inc), except school holidays when it is 14 days prior. However, they will accept mini-breaks at anytime in the winter but they have a minimum rent of £357 in the year 2021 and £407 in the year 2022.

A very comfortable apartment with the reclining chair and settee just perfect. The kitchen had everything needed to make meals including full size cooker and fridge with freezer compartment. We liked the clock in the bedroom which projected the time on the ceiling, and will be buying one for our home, a great idea! We enjoyed our stay, had no problems at all, and will definitely be returning .?

If you continue you will notice that during the next booking steps this will automatically be selected for you and the price will increase, so simply de-select them on the bookings screen if you already have holiday insurance or if you do not want any cover.
The Pet Charge for all properties accepting pets is £20 per pet.
After your stay, we ask you kindly to please leave the property as it is found, in a clean and tidy manner. This includes replacing the furniture if you have moved them, emptying all internal bins, clean and put away plates etc., clean work tops and surfaces and hoover the floors.
No Smoking: We want all our guests to enjoy an odour free environment when they arrive at their property. We therefore prohibit smoking within the premises in ALL our properties. A 'Refreshing Charge' will be levied on guests who smoke in properties. A No Smoking Policy may form part of a property's statutory Fire Risk Assessment.
Mini-breaks & Weekends: In most cases, bookings that are for less than 7 nights in the season (Easter to the end of October) are only bookable at short notice. Out of season (November to last week before Easter) is more flexible. The mini-break rules for each property is stated on the description. Weekend booking requests that do not start or end on a property's change-over day or cross over more than 1 week, are at the discretion of the property owner. 1st floor apartment with 13 internal steps up to the front door of the property which has a door of standard width.
Central corridor with Living room/kitchen to the left, bathroom ahead and two bedrooms to the right. The beds are divan beds at standard height.
The floors are laminated inthe living room and hall, tiled in the bathroom and carpeted in the bedrooms.
There is a shower over the bath and 2 grab hand rail. There is a fixed half shower screen and the height of the bath sides is 21 inches.
Parking is in an allocated space 20m from the front door. Surface is tarmac.
As you drive through the arch to the courtyard there is a low wall on the left. The parking space for Coach house is on the left and is along from the low wall. Only park in the allocated space.
To enter the apartment, climb the stairs to the first floor where number 9 is on you right. There is a light switch on the left at the bottom of the stairs.
If for any reason the main gates refuse to open (check you have pressed the correct button) access can be gained via the south gates which are never locked as this access is for emergency services and deliveries that cannot pass under the arch.
To get to the south gate drive to the High Street and turn right, immediately before Britannia Bridge (it has railway track in the road) turn right where there is a dropped kerb between the 'Ganolfan' Community Centre and the Harbour. Drive down the pathway and when you see the Maritime Museum in front of you turn right and the gates to the Oakleys courtyard are in front of you.
