Greener Cottages
We appreciate that most of our guests want us to provide relaxing and comfortable holiday accommodation that make the minimum impact on the environment, so we encourage our owners to follow our 'Greener Cottage' guide lines. This includes providing low-energy rated appliances and low-energy bulbs, fitting insulation and draught proofing, supplying timer switches on electric heaters and fitting thermostatic valves on radiators. Most of our Snowdonia cottages have double glazing, lined curtains and all of them display recycling information and provide facilities to help Guests to do their bit to 'Reduce, Recycle and Reuse' whilst on holiday without too much inconvenience.
Some properties have public transport on the doorstep and we encourage our owners to provide public transport timetables and information on how to enjoy Snowdonia without using a car.
Look out for the little green houses on the property description indicating the property owners that are part of the scheme.
We recycle or re-use everything in our offices and constantly re-evaluate what we do so that we strive to become even greener year by year.
