This pristine prepared terraced cottage is in the small village of Talsarnau , 6 miles from the harbour town of Porthmadog and 4 miles from the seaside town of Harlech . The cottage is on three levels with a large family bathroom on the 1st floor, the kitchen, although small, is fully fitted and functional. The village has an inn, intriguingly called 'Ship Aground', and also the 'Bwyty Bach' which serves excellent food and takeaway.  There is a footpath from the village to the foreshore of the Dwyryd estuary and Giftan island, which is only accessible at low tide. This is heaven for wading birds and other wildlife and is surrounded by the most magnificent views of the Snowdonia mountains and across the estuary to Portmeirion village. In the mountains behind the village is lovely walking countryside with ancient Drovers routes high in the mountains with elevated views of the coastline. Barmouth and the wonderfully scenic Mawddach estuary is just 30 mins drive as is the Snowdonia village of Beddgelert.
