The Whitethorn house and cottage are idyllically and privately situated partway up the Eifl mountains near the small village of Llanaelhearn (0.5ml) with magnificent views of the coastline of Caernarfon Bay and Anglesey . The house is nice and spacious with a lovely sun room overlooking the bay and the orange glow of the summer setting sun. Surrounded by 15 acres of pasture land the owners horses and hens graze the surrounding fields. The house is very comfortably furnished and the kitchen has all modern conveniences. Conveniently situated within walking distance to the village (10 mins) where there is a village shop. Just a mile away is the old fishing village of Trefor and at the top of the Eifl mountains one of the best preserved iron age forst with over 100 hut circles. There are a choice of quiet sandy beaches along the whole of this coastline, one of our favourites is Porthdinllaen sheltered by an unusual spit of land jutting out to sea protecting its golden sands. To the east are the Snowdonia mountains (40 mins) where there are steam train rides up Snowdon and around the lake. Caernarfon town (12ml) is a hugely historic town with the remains of a Roman barracks, bathhouse and a grand castle guarding the mouth of the river and harbour. Pwllheli (10ml) and Abersoch (14ml) are seaside towns on the southern coast.
