STS Grade 3

Fall asleep and then WAKE UP REFRESHED with the sound of the gently rolling sea when you stay at this 'Captain's Cabin' right on the beach. This compact detached bungalow style cabin occupies a superb position on its own with magnificent sea views of Caernarfon Bay and the Eifl Mountains. Porpoises and seals are frequent early morning visitors to this coastline. You will enjoy relaxing on the patio only yards from the gently sloping beach near the small hamlet of Aberdesach and watch the orange glow of the sun descend below the water horizon. There is a fitted kitchen and a lounge/diner with full length windows and patio doors to the deck area. If you can drag yourselves away from the beach, the nearest town is historic Caernarfon (6ml). Medieval streets within the town walls hide curiosity shops, cafes, restaurants and now the steam trains of the Welsh Highland Railway starts it's journey from just by the castle. etc. This magnificent castle has a prominent position on the harbour side, from where boat trips are available along the coastline. For a treat, try air flights over Snowdonia from Caernarfon Airfield. Pwllheli (10ml), has a marina, craft shops and a weekly market on Wednesday.

PET: Maximum 2 pets.
LINEN: No (available to hire)
TOWELS: No (availablt to hire)
FAQ: Nearest neighbour is one of the 10 houses in the hamlet which is 100m across the field. Nothing to the front and to the right of the cottage, just the small hamlet which is across the field to the back and across to the left of the cottage.
FAQ: Logs and coal are available to purchasse at a petrol station nearby All bedrooms are compact and we recommend this property is more comfortable for 4 persons than 6. In the summer this isn't such an issue as most of the time you will be on the deck.
FAQ: There are no steps down to the beach from the  front of the property. The property is protected from the sea by an grass covered earth mound along the coastline. You can see it in photo 10 and 11 on the website. It is about 2 and half feet high on the cabin's side and depending upon where you go down the beach is about maybe 4 foot sloping scramble down to the stones on the beach. Children and pets have no problem getting over the mound, I am 50 and can do it too with a little care, but my 80 year old mum would struggle without help. The beach is easier to access about 50m away from the cabin.
Please note: A returnable £100 Good Housekeeping bond will be required before the owner will give the keysafe code.  Our experience shows that this procedure results in an all round better holiday for everyone, as our holiday home owners are prepared to offer better quality properties for guests and all guests fully respect the property and so make manageable the process of  preparing the property for the next guest's full enjoyment.
