Fall asleep and then WAKE UP REFRESHED with the sound of the gently rolling sea when you stay at this 'Captain's House' right on the beach. This detached chalet style bungalow occupies a superb position on its own with magnificent sea views of Caernarfon Bay and the Eifl Mountains. Porpoises and seals are frequent early morning visitors to this coastline. You will enjoy relaxing on the patio only yards from the gently sloping beach near the small hamlet of Aberdesach and watch the orange glow of the sun descend below the water horizon. There is an excellent kitchen and patio doors with full length windows in the lounge/diner. If you can drag yourselves away from the beach, the nearest town is historic Caernarfon (6ml). Medieval streets within the town walls hide curiosity shops, cafes etc. A magnificent castle has a prominent position on the harbour side, from where boat trips are available along the coastline. For a treat, try air flights over Snowdonia from Caernarfon Airfield. Pwllheli (10ml), has a marina, craft shops and a weekly market.
3 BEDROOMS: 2 double bedrooms and 1 bedroom with bunk beds (the lower bed is a futon and can be a pull out double bed, but only suitable for teenagers). Bed linen and towlels not provided, but available to hire.
SHOWER ROOM: Shower room with WC.
KITCHEN: Modern fitted kitchen with electric hob and gas oven, fridge and microwave.
LOUNGE/DINER: Fireplace for open fires, TV, DVD and patio door to front patio with sea views.
GARDEN: Private patios and large sun decking surround the chalet.
PARKING: Private drive to the chalet with ample parking.
HEATING: Full gas central heating and completely double glazed.
ELECTRICITY & GAS: Paid by £1 meter.
EXTRA: Ramp access for the less able. Because all bedrooms are compact a cot is available by arrangement instead of a bed in the bunk room. FAQ: Nearest neighbour is one of the 10 houses in the hamlet which is 100m across the field. Nothing to the front and to the right of the cottage, just the small hamlet which is across the field to the back and across to the left of the cottage.

Having stayed at The Captains Beach House at various time of the year, and indeed have already had three holidays at the property this year from 12th to 19th February, 2nd to 9th April and 28th May to 4th June. We have always found the place to be clean, cosy and warm with the added comfort of double glazing. The rooms have always been well aired and the central heating system has provided a lovely warm temperature at the turn of a dial. For added comfort an extra fire has always been available as well as the additional facility to create an open real fire from coal or logs. We have experienced the comforts of home every time we have stayed at this beach house and it has always been a fun and memorable occasion for the whole family.
The bedrooms and living accommodation have always been very welcoming, clean and tidy. It has been extremely reassuring to know that both Mr & Mrs Griffith have provided adequate facilities for an enjoyable holiday and these efforts have enabled the guests to have a relaxing time. We always gained great reassurance and confidence from being able to contact the owners directly on their mobile phone or home phone should we have any queries during our stay and we found them more than willing to assist our every need and with great Welsh hospitality. We have always been encouraged by both Mr & Mrs Griffith and the agency STS to contact them during our holidays should we have any problems, no matter how small and they will endeavour to resolve our queries immediately, whatever they may be. I consider Mr & Mrs Griffith to be extremely considerate and responsible owners of holiday accommodation and take a great deal of time and trouble to provide excellent facilities in an outstanding and beautiful location . I would have no hesitation in recommending this holiday accommodation to another family wishing to take a break in North Wales and have recently passed on the details to my GP in Macclesfield. Visit Wales comments: Location location location, Dihanfa certainly has it, being located virtually on the beach at Aberdesach. Rooms are very compact and bed linen is not available.The overall percentage is 65.71%
