STS Grade 4+
An impressive former mill, a detached building with exposed stone walls and low beams idillically situated alongside the river Llyfni on the edge of the quiet seaside village of Pontllyfni , world famous for seatrout fishing. Also available is Salmon, Brown and Rainbow trout on 40 miles of rivers and/ or 6 lakes! The large spacious lounge on the first floor is full of character, the original beams display 18th century carved graffiti and a large wood burning stove ensures a wonderful warm fire. French doors from the lounge open out onto a large balcony above the river where there is furniture to enjoy the countryside and distant sea views. Particular attention has been afforded to the property being suitable tfor the less mobile - the bedrooms, bathroom and shower room are all on ground floor along with the kitchen and dining hall, only the lounge is up a wide open staircase. The grounds around the mill are enclosed except for only a chain alongside the river boundary, so not suitable for young children. The quiet beach is only a 10 minute walk down river; seals and dolphins are often seen along the coast here as are the rare Chough crow. The hills behind the mill are a web of country lanes for cycling and footpaths through natural countryside. Snowdonia is 5mls inland through ramatic scenery of lakes and mountaines. Local attractions include Caernarfon castle (9ml), Snowdon and the mountain railway at Llanberis (15ml), ponytrtekking (5ml).

The Tull Family
" We have had an extremly restful week, and The Old Mill is the best accomodation of it's kind we have ever had! Very warm and cosy whilst we had rain, sleet, snow, frost and sunshine.  Overall a great week and we would love to come again!"

A & G
" The Mill is a beautiful cottage and lovely to return to after many different walks with the dogs, Molly and Meg, they loved it!  The lounge is so cozy witht he fire, and the weather has been good enough to enjoy the balcony in the evening as the suns setting.  Thank you Mr and Mrs Hughes for your warm welcome"

" We have had a fantastic time.  The Mill is stunning, the scenery, breathtaking, and Maisey the dog loved the beach"

The S Family
" We have been to a lot of different cottages - but this one is hard to beat!  You must hope that the weather maker from above sends down rain and spreads out mist and fog so that you can enjoy this house to full extent..."
