The harbour town of Porthmadog (5ml) is one of the gateways to Snowdonia, the small steam train travels up the Ffestiniog valley from here, Snowdon and the picturesque village of Beddgelert are only another 7ml up the Glaslyn valley. Other local attractions include Cambrian Coast train rides, Rabbit Farm, Lloyd George museum, Quad biking centre, and Golf courses galore.
