It is situated just to the rear of a row of terraced cottages in the village with ample parking and grounds. Golan is located just off the Caernarfon to Porthmadog road, 4mls from Porthmadog in an area of natural wild beauty on the country lane to the fantastic Cwm Ytradllyn (fishing lake) valley. Porthmadog is a harbour town, which is also home to the Little 'Ffestiniog steam train' station and where there is a variety of shops and eating places, a leisure centre and a cinema. The salt marshes of the river is bird haven and in the summer we are now blessed with a family of Ospreys fishing in the river. The sandy beach at Black Rock Sands is 6mls by car and the mountians of Snowdonia are just on the doorstep, Snowdon and Beddgelert village only being 11 miles away. Portmeirion village is 6mls, Caernarfon castle 15mls, Abersoch and Bardsey island down the Lleyn peninsula -most of what you might want to enjoy in Snowdonia and North Wales is within a scenic 1 hours drive at the most!
3/4 BEDROOMS: 1Kingsize in master bedroom with flat screen tv and DVD, ensuite shower room /wc , 1 bedroom with 2 single beds which you have to walk through to get to the 3rd bedroom which has a double bed. All on 1st floor. 1 bedroom with a double bed is on ground floor. Bed linen provided. Please bring your own towels & tea towels.
BATHROOM : with jacuzzi bath on ground floor.
KITCHEN: Superb fitted kitchen and spacious dining area: kitchen area with a full set of attractive fitted units, electric hob and eye level double oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, d/washer; dining area witha refrectory table for 8.
UTILITY ROOM: with auto.washer and T. dryer.
LOUNGE: Spacious lounge with corner leather seating unit and seperate 3 seater settee. 50" flat screen tv, DVD,SKY freeview channels plus more but not sky sports. music centre.

The building is of stone & slate roof with spacious enclosed decked area with patio furniture. The quality is of a 5 star property but there is one bath in the house that sleeps 8 persons. The through twin room is also a drawback. The overall percentage at 85% meets the expectations of a 4 Star quality product." 31/07/09
