This most conveniently designed house has been carefully prepared to offer its guests a very comfortable holiday home in Porthmadog with excellent views of the Glaslyn estuary and sea and for steam train enthusiasts the Ffestiniog valley trains and station are just across the way. The accommodation is cleverly designed as two self contained apartments - Custom House occupies the 1st and 2nd floors of this grand house, optimising the wonderful sea views, and on the ground floor the Custom House Studio. Shops, tea rooms, inns and restaurants are within a short walk as are the leisure centre and cinema. A coastal footpath begins around the headland towards Cricieth passing a choice of sandy coves to relax by and also a golf course. Excellent wading bird wet land and cycle track just outside the door. Snowdon and other lofty peaks of the Snowdonia National Park are only 10 mls inland to tour around or to conquer. Many famous attractions including Portmeirion village, Harlech castle and Black Rock Sands beach are all within a few miles. This is a good central location for a large holiday property in North Wales . Custom House occupies the 1st and 2nd floors of this grand house. Access is up an internal flight of stairs from a communal Victorian hallway with stained glass frieeze.

5 BEDROOMS: 2 kingsize bedrooms with seaviews on the 2nd floor, both with TV and 1 with easy chairs. 3 single bedrooms, 1 one the first floor and 2 on the 2nd floor. Bed linen & towels provided.
BATHROOM: Bath and WC with shower over the bath on the 2nd floor. Bathroom with separate WC and hand wash basin on the half landing.
LOUNGE: 1st floor with sea views, TV, VCR, Freeview.
KITCHEN: Fully fitted kitchen with electric hob and oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer .
DINING ROOM: Sea views.
PARKING: Off road parking for 1 car, extra parking in quiet street 30m.
HEATING: Centrally heated throughout.
ELECTRICITY & GAS: Included.

When Andy B showed us around the house our chins literally dropped in amazement, as each room came into view.
And what a view, harbour station!

Mr D.D.E. I have stayed in many rented accommodations over the years but the quality of your accommodation far exceeds any I have been in by a very long way. They are usually full of cheap and tacky furniture and plastic cooking utensils ,but the quality and presentations in The Custom House was second to none.
2011: A 5 year old told his Grandfather “A day with out trains is a wasted day” after visiting the Custom House.
