Snowdon and other lofty peaks of the Snowdonia National Park are only 10 miles inland to tour around or to walk. Many famous attractions nearby include Portmeirion village (3ml), Ffestiniog Railway (2ml), Harlech Castle (10ml) and Slate Caverns (15ml).
