Porthmadog has a good variety of shops and eating places and is a good central location for the mountains of Snowdoniaand the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay. Snowdonand Beddgelertare 7 miles inland and the beautiful stretch of sandy beach at Black Rock Sandsis 2mls. Portmeirionvillage is just 2mls along the river for a relaxing day out and Criciethtown and castle just 5mls.
