A minute's stroll from beautiful beaches and secret coves is The Boatman's Cottage in the heart of Borth y Gest . Built in 1865, this cosy seaside terraced house has been lovingly renovated by its owners to a very high standard, and is prepared by them each week for guests. Original features such as stable doors, slate hearth, mosaic hall tiles and stairs (slightly steeper and shallower than is the norm) have been retained to add warmth to the character of this beautiful cottage. The floor of the living and dining room area is solid maple parquet. The bedrooms mix 'Old World' charm with modern comfort and the newly fitted kitchen and bathroom both sparkle with up market style. A superb elevated deck leads off the kitchen from where you have privacy to enjoy the afternoon sun, outdoor eating and views over a traffic free Green and the oak hillside of the nature reserve, Coastal walks from the house are outstanding. One mile from Porthmadog , the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway and Portmeirion also close at hand as are the mountains of Snowdonia , the village of Beddgelert also Harlech and Cricieth Castles. Borth y Gest has both a tea room and an excellent licenced restaurant.  This is a good central location for a holiday property in North Wales

2 BEDROOMS: 1 double  and 1 single bedroom, (both beds are rested assured matress with individual pocket springs). The single room has a pull out bed suitable for a small child but this does make the room very compact. Bed linen and towels provided including goose down duvets.
BATHROOM: Bath and WC with power shower over the bath, downstairs.
LOUNGE/DINER: 2 comfortable settees, large wooden table for dining, flatscreen TV/DVD with Freeview and CD player neatly stowed away. Original fireplace.
KITCHEN: Attractive fitted units with beech wood surfaces, electric hob and oven, a larder fridge (no freezer), microwave and dishwasher.
GARDEN: Large elevated deck with patio furniture and steps leading down to an enclosed garden. There is a gate across the top of the steps down to the garden. SHED IN GARDEN: Ideal for bike storage.
PARKING: Ample parking 20m
HEATING: Gas central heating
ELECTRICITY & GAS: Paid for by meter reading at end of stay.
